Rio Friendly Meats
I really wanted to love this place BC it was highly recommended but the 2x I've been their I bought half a dozen of mouldy meat pies. Apparently, their fridge broke down and they tried to short changed me from a $50 after buying a $6 dog bone the second time. These guys are a couple of old gangsters who need to retire. I don't even want to think where they actually get their meat from. Perhaps they should be called... unfriendly meats alternatively.

Rio Friendly Meats have been serving top quality meats for decades at this location alone. Eddy and Jim and their friendly staff call you by name in this old school, family operation. Some great specials to save you money, the high quality meat is worth the marginally higher cost. In this case, you definitely get what you pay for. Freezer items include tasty pies, fruit or other. Marinated ribs are great on the grill, as are variety of sausages. Deli meats available, cheese, eggs, etc.

Wonderful local family butcher / meats shop. Super fresh, super incredible friendly and nice. Prices very reasonable for super high quality meats! Sausages are seasoned wonderfully, and BBQ with tons of juicy flavour. Lamb burgers are awesome. Definitely will go back often!

I come here often for all my butcher needs. The best part about Rio friendly meats is the staff, they are friendly, knowledgeable, and are able to help out if I need something special. My dogs love it whenever I come here because they usually have some great dog treats such as their cooked marrow bones.

Prices are good but did see them wrap up some chicken breast with a piece of butchers paper that fell on the ground wax side down.

Rio Friendly Meats
Love this place but unfortunately they have a sign up saying 3 customers at a time and no mask policy.The shop is so narrow that you can’t social distance, which I’m pretty sure violates what the government is continually asking us all to do.If they put in place a no mask, no service policy or drop it down to one customer at a time, I’ll gladly put this review up to five stars.Come on guys get it together, I’d like to come back and shop here!
