Excellent customer service! Dropped by White Hat in Courtenay for the first time with a winter jacket alteration need (stitching fix). Janet was able to work on it right away, and it was ready within an hour! Janet even reinforced some stitching that I didn't notice, which was appreciated. Professional and courteous, thank you Janet!

the service is wonderful! the lady i spoke to was very kind, friendly, and helpful. they were able to get a tough smell out of my large squishmallow pillow and returned it to me just as soft and squishy as the day i bought it. they were a bit later than the original estimate so if you need it done by a certain time keep that in mind. overall i’d definitely use their service again

The owner is very good at his craft. I’ve had a fancy dress, silk blouse, fancy high end blazer/jackets, silk ties and Mens wool suits done here.Everything comes out beautiful and they really are magicians on most stains! No chemical smell like we had in the old days!!It’s very sad to see so many OLD bad Reviews. Its my understanding that those reviews were made while being served by the previous owners.

I engaged with this business to have my clinic linens cleaned. They appeared courteous and friendly. We agreed on a price, and pick up/drop off arrangement. On my first day to drop off and pick up, the previous day's linens were not ready. The woman at the Courtenay shop did not follow through with our agreement, and consequently, my linens were not ready. I had no sheets for treatments on this day, so I had to buy sheets before going in to work. It was a big rush, lots of unnecessary stress. Also, $150 extra spending that was not necessary. I took the receipt in to the cleaners to be reimbursed. The next time I went to drop off my dirty laundry, I was told they couldn't accommodate me anymore, would not reimburse me, and that they were not making any money with the price we agreed upon. Fortunately, I had clean linens which were dropped off by the cleaner from the day before, but on this day, I had to wash several loads of laundry at home after getting home at 8pm.If you have personal garments to drop off, they are probably fine to use. If you require commercial service, I advise you strongly not to do business with White Hat.I inquired at another cleaner in Courtenay, and apparently, I am not the first to have inconsistent and unreliable service from them.

If i could give less stars I would! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!I chose this company based on their reviews, but what a mistake! The absolute WORST Customer Service experience!I brought my wedding dress there to be cleaned and I was quoted a week, even on my receipt it said I could pick up in a week. Well, a week passed, and no contact, I gave it TWO more weeks before my husband went in and asked about it. They said it was still at the plant and someone would call us Monday. Nobody called. I gave it another two weeks and contacted them, they said they would get ahold of the plant as it still wasn't back.FIVE weeks AFTER their promised date I finally got the call that my dress was in. I was livid! The woman behind the counter wouldn't assist in contacting the owner, instead gave me a card. I wrote a very nice email asking to rectify the situation, nothing.I finally just went in and picked up my dress, 7 weeks after dropping it off.They weren't even a little apologetic.I was told that there is no way" a wedding dress would be done in a week

The proprietress of this business recently exceeded expectations when I recently brought in a vintage wool robe for cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised, and for her kindness, I will bring all my dry cleaning here in the future and encourage others to do so as well.

So, tried to drop off a suit jacket. 4:01 on a Saturday(so okay they close at 4:00 but the open sign is flashing away, door locked, pitching rain. The grumpy face behind the counter just shook her head, no way. So they will not get my business, ever.
