Out of all the handful of lawyers I've spoken to regarding consultation, this was the least compassionate one. I forgot who I spoke to but she claims to be a senior member in the Estate department doing intake. She had instantly denied my case without offering alternative solutions with JUST 2 questions. Other lawyers, whether they refused my case or not, did not do so as bluntly as Onyx and even gave advice to try to strengthen my case. I can tell she was in a rush to either catch up with intake or wanting to leave for the day as she did not bother to listen to my situation in full. Or maybe she was picking and choosing easy wins" for the firm. Sure

No matter how many stars are available, I would light every one of them! Ms. Cho and Ms. Bartella are outstandingly skilled in their field, and have helped me through one of the most difficult experiences of my life. Ms. Bartella has demonstrated both great compassion and passion and done an amazing job of managing my stress as well as meeting all of my legal needs, within a uniquely complicated litigation. Both of these extraordinary lawyers earned my trust and faith, and not for a second did they ever let me down in any fashion. I am by nature a picky, perhaps critical sort of person, with very fixed ideas, and not very trusting at all... despite which, I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect, I was listened to, and always able to voice any concerns or opinions I had. If I said they should both have super-hero capes, nobody would believe me - but to see them acting on my behalf, they absolutely earned capes! In a profession that is frequently the subject of criticism and mistrust, these representatives of Onyx rise to the top of ethical and competent practice. I would recommend them to anybody.

During the last 4 years, we have been embroiled in a conflict after my late father passed. A sad time made more unfortunate when we had a disagreement with the executor of the will. My mom looked around and found Onyx law to represent us in the matter of working through the disagreement.Throughout the otherwise rocky time having Onyx on our side has been a godsend. We were assigned Janis Ko and she couldn't have been more compassionate, informed and otherwise just a pleasure to work with.
