Sewing with Kay

My daughter, son, and I took sewing classes with this amazing studio. It’s a great skill to have. Kay has the patience to help one-on-one and the kids love the fun classes. Looking forward to our next class.

I started with Kay’s adult beginner class in Fall 2022.I have since signed up for 2 more sessions.Kay is such a great teacher. She is patient, kind, and fun.She listens to the group’s suggestions and caters the lesson plans to include our interests.We completed quite a few projects (PJ shorts, a reusable bag, swim cover - just to name a few) and had a lot of fun while learning.I am happy to continue to support this small local business and would definitely recommend Kay to anyone interested in sewing.

Never did sewing classes but have ordered masks several times. Loads of fabric selection, not a long wait and they fit beautifully! Love supporting local at times like these and even more so when the product and service is amazing!

I have just finished my fourth adult class with Kay and it's a lot of fun! I had no experience before starting and have really enjoyed the variety and progression of projects. Kay gives a lot of thought to the group's skill level and really knows how to build on each session. The group dynamic is also a lot of fun; I've met some really great people and had a lot of laughs - that part was a nice surprise. Beyond the more introductory craft type projects, I've made a small quilt, pajama shorts, shopping bags, and a bathing suit cover and have gained the confidence to try other projects on my own. She also offers advice on fabric selection, machine maintenance and pattern tips and tricks. I always look forward to the next session! If you're looking to try something new, build your skills and have fun, then Kay's is for you.

The beginner adults' class provided decent basic knowledge for those that are completely unfamiliar with sewing. Unfortunately, the class is not too well structured. Everyone is very social, which is nice, but it appeared that more time was spent on chatting than teaching. So if you are in a more chatty group"
