ETOWN SALSA Latin Dance Studios

I just finished salsa level 1 and I am in so much in love with salsa! I want to learn more of this dance, and the teachers are very helpful and patient and they explain very well all the steps. Would definitely recommend this dance studio!

If you want to learn to dance, your shopping for a dance school is done.There are many instructors in town but Alex is the only one that is really capable on teaching beginners. He is able to split the moves and make it fun to learn even if you have two left feet.Thank you Alex for being the way you are. We just completed the 4-week Level 1 Salsa program with Alex! Alex is very friendly, outgoing, and is an amazing instructor who really takes the time to ensure you understand the basics and have a strong foundation of the dance before advancing or giving you new material and moves to attempt.Alex and Ana are confident stepping in to demonstrate moves between you and your partner to give constructive feedback to improve your practice and flow! We were true beginners to dance and we felt nothing but encouraged and supported in their studio! They also offer a variety of events (free or small fee) to allow you more time to learn and practice your skills!!I would recommend Etown Salsa to anyone considering Latin dancing at any level!!Thanks again Alex & Ana! Alex is a great teacher, he explains all the necessary details and answers questions. His studio is wonderful and located in an accessible part of downtown.Etown has plenty of socials and events, as well as lessons. Great place to learn Latin dances.

Amazing teachers! I only attended one set of intro to Latin dance lessons but I absolutely loved it and I learned so much more than just how to do certain dances. I loved that they taught you about the history of each kind of dance and how he could actually get me to understand how to follow....I struggled with that in the beginning. One day I will go back when my schedule settled down but I definitely recommend them for lessons!!!

Just finished our 1st class for 8-Weeks with Alex. I’ve been wanting to take couples dance lessons my whole life and this was an awesome first experience. Alex broke down the history, music, and the steps; in a very healthy pace. Beautiful new studio and everyone was so friendly! Thank you all so much!(I price shopped and researched a lot and this was definitely the best pick I believe!)

10/10 experience. The staff is friendly, and Alex (the instructor) is great at explaining the dance steps clearly. The people who are apart of the E-Town community are the most down to Earth people you could ever meet. Every class is filled with smiles; Everyone during the classes seem to be happy. Overall, this is definitely one of Edmonton's best Latin Dance studios, and I highly recommend that you attend a class.

ETOWN is great! It is a great place to start dancing as well as meet people and make some new friends! Alex (the owner and instructor) is a very good teacher and will give you good direction/ encouragement if you are struggling with some patterns! The salsa community is also great! Everyone is so friendly!! I had moved here from Montreal and was looking for a way to make new friends here! Etown was the perfect place for it! Dancing is a very social activity and it's a great workout! If you are undecided stop overthinking it and just do it! You won't regret it!

After 12 years, this summer I took the step to come back to salsa, and after having forgotten almost everything except the love for the music and the basics, I met Alex, with whom I took salsa level1.5. I immediately felt transformed, and when Alex invited me to his performing salsa and bachata teams, I didn't think twice.
