Hallmark Heating Chimney & Duct Ltd.

I had Dan and his team repair and rebuild parts of two old chimneys in our 100-year old house this past fall. Their quote was fair and we got good value for our money. It took a while to do but since the work was outside and it was fall it wasn't a big deal. One of the chimneys was extremely difficult to reach and had to be accessed via scaffolding and covered with tarps so it wasn't the easiest working situation. There were a few delays but Dan was always prompt in replying and worked his hardest to fix the situation which is why I gave them a five-star review. The chimneys look great and have made an noticeable improvement in the look of our house from the street.

The guy I talked to asked me if I had my chimney repointed". I didn't know what "repointed" meant. I said I had some work done on my chimney.The next time when the workman came to my house they were claiming that I said that I claimed I had "repointing" done on my chimney

They did a great job on the project for my townhouse. Staff were friendly and on time each day. Quality of the work is excellent and they've been responsive to any questions I've had along the way.

The pricing was competitive. The team showed up exactly on schedule. They did excellent work and were very professional. They did a thorough cleanup of the job site afterwards. I had 2 floods in my basement around my chimney last year. Experts were telling me I had a crack in the foundation, etc. After talking with Dan he advised me that most all of the time the problem is with the chimney.Now, after Dan and his crew reinforced my chimney, took out the old rusted dampers and put in new ones, we just had what they call biblical rain and my basement is dry. Dan and his crew are professional and courteous. Also when they were repairing the chimney they spotted a potential problem for a future leak not related to the chimney and patched that up for me too. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I initially gave a good review for this company but am now rescinding it. I was assured that the furnace and hot water tank they were installing were both eligible for rebates. It appears they were not and Dan has been difficult to contact. It has been 6 months and this is still not resolved. Poor customer service.
