-heartstoppingly good food-Juicy, well-seasoned meat on hearty rolls! Each sandwich is a marvel.I'll be back for the entrées, but give the à la carte meat a miss.Quick service too. 4/5

The fries and crispy chicken sandwich here might be the best I've ever had. The fries have a delicious seasoning on them and the chicken was soft yet perfectly crunchy on the outside and nestled inside the softest bun. 10/10 will be back here for sure!

I had a very unpleasant experience with this cafe.I want to keep an open mind and believe that not all Jamaican food tastes like this, so I think that my experience is a reflection of the lacking quality of this place, not necessarily of Jamaican cuisine generally.I have never had Jamaican food before this restaurant and I sadly regret Flava Cafe being my first experience with Jamaican food.I ordered: The Mac and Cheese, The Beef Patty, Fried Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Rice and peas with Coleslaw and salad on the side.Every single one of these items was more disappointing than the next. The Mac and cheese: it was essentially Kraft Dinner from a box put into a styrofoam container and sold to the public. The Beef Patty: It lacked flavour, although it was nice and airy but the taste was not up to par. I had had authentic Jamaican beef patties and this was truly a disappointment. The Jerk Chicken: Probably the most shocking aspect of my meal was the quality of the chicken. Although it was not dry, it was NOT well seasoned whatsoever, the chicken actually did not seem to be thoroughly cleaned because it had a peculiar odour. The same can be said for the fried chicken. The rice and peas: Lacked flavour once again, was cold. It was edible but mediocre.I hate to write a review like this because I would not want to hurt this business but I hope that Flava Cafe can adjust these things to have more flavour, more spice and to be overall of better quality.

I ordered online and when I got there the food wasn't made even though I got text and email confirmation for pick up time. The Jerk pork was okay, the Jerk chicken was borderline tasteless. The curry goat and oxtail were fula salt!!! We couldn't even eat them that's how salty it was.

The food was pretty decent (got the jerk chicken meal for $12), the price was really good. Wish there was dine-in and that the chicken was bigger and had more spice, but pretty good overall!

By far the best chicken I’ve had in the city. Wonderful blend of spices with the perfect amount of heat. The chicken was cooked so perfectly it fell off the bone.

As a Jamaican person myself, I was deeply disappointed in this restaurant— I ordered classic jerk chicken with rice and peas and a Jamaican patty, while my partner ordered the rice bowl. The rice bowl was DISGUSTING— whatever sauce they put on it is nearly inedible and tastes absolutely nothing like jerk. Meanwhile the jerk chicken is bland, dry, and lacking in any sort of spice that could be called jerk. Never ordering from here again. If you are on 118th, go to A Yah Mi Deh instead.

Honestly I just paid over 80.00 dollars like 30 mins ago for food that was somewhat edible .. the rice was undercooked and old and crunchy and the beans were so hard and dried out!! RICE SHOULD NOT BE HARD AND CRUNCHY So that is a FAIL! The chicken had a weird smell almost like mildew or something like it ( the only thing I can compare the smell to would be like if you have an old sponge for cleaning dishes and leave it on the side of your kitchen sink for awhile ), and was cold..so safe to say I took one bite and spit it out ...I don't think the chicken was properly cleaned or something else .. however definitely the best oxtail I've had in awhile... but then again it was the only part of my order that was hot and that I actually ate! Just want to point out the only part of my order that was freshly cooked was the oxtail!!! This was my first experience ordering from Flava Cafe and I feel like I got severely ripped off! Definitely not worth what they are charging people! So this is a miss for me! *Do not order the jerk chicken ...it's funky*
