Crescent Valley Beach Park
This is a great beach for kids and dogs, plenty of parking and very clean. Recently redesigned and landscaping has elevated this space to provide a great riverside experience.

No dogs on the beach from may to September. We walked past the beach and found a spot near the edge where the dogs could swim. No shade on the beach side son couldn't stay as long as we wanted.

Park was recently redone. Its clean, pretty and easy to navigate. There is a sweet little beach with soft sand that is perfect for kids to play or to lay out and nap. When we were there it was nice and quiet and relaxing and not busy at all. Its located close to a market (Evergreen) as well so grabbing some food and having a picnic at Crescent Valley Beach Park is a great/ easy/ fun activity. Lots of parking and there are bathrooms as well.

Great walk, bring the dogs off leash on the other side of the park boundary. (heading towards the frog peak cafe).

We joined all our tubes and did a three hour float. Rope swing and a couple of small Beach's. Even some deep spots for a swim. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Strong current in places. When the water is low, the swimming area is more of a wading pool. Dogs not allowed for certain periods of the year, heed signage. No glass or debris in the sand from my experience, but your mileage may vary.Busy swimming hole when I was there.

When I lived in Castlegar, I must’ve driven by this beach a hundred times but never stopped. It is a beautiful piece of serenity well-worth the visit. I imagine it gets busy in the summer if the water isn’t too fast/choppy. It’s great to see how well taken care of this spot is and I hope it stays that way. Stop in if you need a nature-fix and listen to the water flow by.
