I have been going to the consulate for a few appointments in the past 2 months based on citizenship queries and applications; and I have been met with nothing but kind, compassionate, and efficient staff. They are very knowledgeable and I would like to thank them (I'll leave out names), for their support in this process. I have nothing but high regards for this Consulate.Edit: Three months after this review, I maintain my 5 stars. They approved my citizenship and they were able to register me and get my passport within 2 months. Stellar service and such kind people!

Can someone from the Spanish consulate please please please reply to my e-mails????!!!! I don't know what to do anymore. This is so unprofessional. My husband and I travel so much with work and we've never experienced anything like this. I urgently need to apply for a NIE but nobody replies to my e-mails to guide me on how to apply. The easiest and quickest option would be if they had the option to book an appointment on line as so many embassies do nowadays. Very frustrating and disappointing!

I found many people mentioned that the staff did not response the e-mail. Yes, I met the same situation here. I e-mailed them on Apr. 13 but nobody got me back.Today is May. 25. How I solved this problem today morning is to directly go there on-site. To be honest, the staffs on-site are helpful. They directly send me the e-mail and ask me to prepare the materials. Then I need to reply that e-mail to make the formal reservation. (Hope they will reply me this time.)I would suggest anybody meet the same situation as me to directly step in there and talk with them.

As of March 2023 there is now a 5+ month waiting list to get a Shenghen visa appointment. How pathetic is that?? Vast majority of other country consulates do it in 4 weeks or less. I even received a phone call from a consulate employee last Fall after emailing, telling me to wait and send my documents in for verification only 6-8 weeks prior to our trip. Everything was booked and now they have cost me an airline penalty for cancelling our flight AND LOOSING OUT ON OUR SPRING TRIP TO EUROPE! Terrible consulate who do nothing to encourage tourism money to come to Spain.

Iñaki is very knowledgeable and helpful.He showed great care and concern when assisting us navigate the paperwork. He made this a very stress-free experience.The people in general were very pleasant and seem genuinely willing to help. Wonderful experience all round.

Beware folks! Everything people are saying on here about the visa lady is true. She's extremely rude, arrogant and dismissive. In order to renew my Spanish passport I was told to bring a physical copy of all the supporting documents I had previously emailed to them, along with EXACTLY $43.50 in cash... Because they only accept cash for some reason. Anyway, the very first thing she did was SCOLD ME for not bringing a printed version of two registratation forms THEY had originally emailed me, which I had filled in and emailed back to THEM a month before my visit, as requested. I said but you HAVE the forms

Definitely need to give zero star. Waiting for ages to get an appointment. These people won't reply to emails & there is this automated phone call which doesn't let you talk with any officials. Pathetic system.

We were trying to get an appointment for more than 1 month because my parter was supposed to start a job 2 weeks ago, but they weren't answering any email and he's still stuck in Canada because of that. He even went in person to get an appointment and no one didn't give him any solution. Now they finally gave him an appointment in 2 WEEKS

I went to a couple of Spanish consulates worldwide, and this one didn’t surprise me either. The worker wasn’t professional and was arrogant. She asked me if I was a refugee from Venezuela. You are holding my passport from a different nationality; how come I can be from Venezuela?
