My friends and I wanted to try a new restaurant along this food strip so we found this spot on Yelp. It was a nice surprise and we are happy with the drop in on this never heard before place till now.The restaurant is very dark inside. The lighting is very dim. The decor is very bar like. However the menu tells us different as it was a very long list of food options than the drink list. The food was very flavourful and very saucy. We had ordered the ribs (which takes 20 minutes to make so order ahead), cold tofu and egg appetizer and eggplant with garlic dish with two bowls of rice on the side. The bowls of rice was much needed for this family style meal as all the food items were very heavy in the overwhelming flavour and sauce. We were engulfing a large portion of rice each time we picked up an eggplant or tofu.We would probably return again to try other menu items and would probably ask to go lighter on the sauce so we don't load up on the carbs.

First off, pricey but great for date night and trying something new. Free underground parking is a bonus though, especially for the area.Skewers came in threes for the price and ranged depending on the meat. The regular beef one that came first was definitely our favourite.Everything was heavily spiced which is great the first few bites but you start to feel it for the rest of the meal so not the best if you’re sensitive to spicy.Wasn’t a huge fan of the fried chicken bowl as it was mainly all hot peppers and you could really taste that in the chicken (unless you’re a fan of that then by all means).Green beans were awesome with just enough spice and cooked perfectly.I highly recommend the wraps, although it can be a heavy meal in itself, tasted great and probably the only thing that didn’t hurt to eat after 3 bites for myself!Service here was great though, given the smaller size of restaurant, it never took too long for any assistance.Atmosphere was awesome. Very green house vibes and retro feeling. You can tell they took the time in every detail of the space.

Our favourite place to go for Xin Jiang style skewers and spicy food closed down but luckily we stumbled onto this little gem. The food is quite tasty, just a tad below the old spot. Their other dishes were spot on but what really wow'ed us was the great service. They are so attentive but not overbearing. My friend dropped her chopsticks and before we even asked, the server was there with a replacement. Prices are very fair and of course house beer is always on the cheap at $9/pitcher. The place is not very big so it can get busy at times. We will be coming back here often.Edit: We've came back to this place at least another 10 times after the initial review and everything is still amazing, service and food included. The cold beef salad has been changed from sliced beef shank (which is our favourite) to just a sliced cooked beef but the flavour is still the same. Wish we can have the other one back.

This place is a gem!!! The flavours of the BBQ are something that everyone needs to experience, with all their cumin goodness.The pork belly was probably my favourite. But also the chicken and lamb were incredible! When cabbage was recommended to me, I did not get it, but as soon as I tasted it, I did. It was surprisingly good! Noodles were flavourful.The servers were homey and welcoming, and portions are decent.

It unfortunately wasn't as tempting a it looks in the picture. The chicken pieces were too small are were actually only bones. The shrimps were too uncomfortable to eat too. The fried rice was good though.

Very relaxing atmosphere and dare say mild eccentricity in the decor. Loved the VW buses. Food was pretty good, the grilled scallops are what I will be coming back for as well as a few other items I didn't try.

A truly a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a cozy atmosphere. The menu featured a variety of BBQ dishes, and I was excited to try out some of their signature dishes.We started with the bone marrow and shrimp appetizers, and they were simply divine. The bone marrow was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. The shrimp was equally delicious..For our main course, we opted for the lamb and pancakes, and we were not disappointed. The lamb was juicy and flavorful, with a smoky taste that was simply amazing. The pancakes were light and fluffy.The service at Woodhouse BBQ was also exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations based on our preferences.Overall, I highly recommend Woodhouse BBQ to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in North York.
