It was very nice experience to have lunch here. I ate outside which was perfect decision. The patio section was closed yet around 12pm.Hawaiian flatbread was so good but I think it could be little spicy for some people.People were so nice here too! I’d like to visit again if I have a chance to go to Granville Island!!

Wow, this place is top notch. We sat outside on some couches and had the most amazing view of the harbor. I’m still beaming just thinking about it!I had the caramelized onion benny (amazing) and my partner had the smoked meat sandwich (also amazing). The mimosas were tasty, too!I’ll definitely be back here later this summer when my family is in town to visit. It’s awesome you can book outdoor seating reservations—I find most Vancouver restaurants only let you reserve indoors.

2nd time here for dinner. This time great platio seating available. Atmosphere is good, overseeing the sunset view, with some little breeze. We ordered a few appetizers. Beef carpaccio was great! Scallops were ok, not spectacular. Oysters were fresh, but they put in the sauce already which i preferred not to.Ciabatta with cheese and rocket veggie on top was a bit soggy.Mac n Cheese was great n cheesy! For main, we had steak which was handled well, as per our request for medium. We closed it with their lovely ice cream which was also of quality.Overall, i think it fits the bill of a 4 star.

It was our first time here, we liked the environment here, nice and quiet, great service, great food, and very reasonable price. I didn’t add as a special occasion when we book online, however through the conversation they found out is my bday, I didn’t expect a card and a tasty hazelnut chocolate cake. The wine ! One of the spots, the white wine was very fruity with clean after taste, fruity as actual fruity not the sweetness, it is very pleasant pairing with my cream sauce halibut. The halibut was just cook right ! Not too cook or raw, it’s just prefect .The red wine as I rmb is from California, its buttery and a little spice, very good with the sirloin steak, the sauce is also a hit, a very good recommendation of the wine pairing from the server Todd.Sorry to mention your name here but I truly appreciated your service with heart and in details. You did shown your passion of what you are doing. Just nothing more I can say. You did a great job!We will surely come back when it’s getting hotter.Service: full starsFood : fullEnvironment: fullFree Parking after 18:00 as I rmbCheers,

Came for a night out with the girls, got the full dockside cabana experience. Service was great Patrick served us and Sam the manager ensured we had drinks on the way and made sure we had the best experience! Food and drinks were fantastic. The patio feels like you’re on a resort! Highly recommend going whether you’re visiting Vancouver or from Vancouver.

Located on Granville Island, Dockside Restaurant serves up some solid eats alongside spectacular waterside views. On our table:Seared Hokkaido ScallopsFried Humboldt SquidBaked Mac n CheeseBaked Mac n Cheese with MushroomsHaida Gwaii HalibutWest Coast PaellaThree Scoops Mario's GelatoThe Seared Hokkaido Scallops were divine. I only wish there was more of it. Mac n Cheese was served on a hot skillet and I'm always happy to have my food brought to me on a skillet. I hadn't realized how heavy this dish would be. In retrospect, I think I could have just shared our daughter's Mac n Cheese instead of ordering my own. Hers was the plain Mac n Cheese. She's not a fan of mushrooms, but that's fine for me. While I enjoyed the mushrooms in my dish, I wouldn't have missed them at all by eating the plain Mac n Cheese. The cheese was incredibly gooey in this dish!Their patio tables are stunning and if you get the chance you should absolutely aim to dine on their patio!Service: GoodParking: Paid parking on Granville IslandLocation: 1253 Johnston St., Vancouver

I bring my favourite people here for the views and the atmosphere. One of the best waterfront views in all of Vancouver with giant floor to ceiling windows across most of the restaurant. The patio in the summer is also a great space and hot spot with some couch-like seating spots and some heaters. The service is always super top notch. It's a fancy place but they treat everyone well no matter what they are wearing - that's part of why I love them. It's always a pleasant ambiance that's good for good conversations. I bring a lot of out of town guests here. It's great for parents and parents-in-law :)The food menu changes a lot. They usually have interesting and nice options at different price points and for different preferences (something meaty, fresh fish, salad options, vegetarian options, a pasta, etc.). The selection of ciders and beers is good and there are well priced options. The desserts have always been fantastic - better than I expect every time and my expectations of their desserts are high. The brunch has always been really good. The paella is worth having if/when it's on the menu. I've had paella in Spain and this is good paella.

Celebrated my bday here early April and had a pleasant experience with my sons. Food was tasty and fresh. Oysters were delicious but a pricey at $5 a piece and they were tiny. Not sure what kind of oysters. Truffles on the pasta was quite expensive, I didn’t realize. Service was friendly and prompt. Nice if you can get a window seat. But walk outside of the restaurant by the water is refreshing.

I was very impressed with Dockside. The manager Sam was very attentive. She made sure our cocktails came out quickly and was also super fun to chat with. Our server Patrick was effortlessly charming and had wonderful recommendations. His positive outlook is inspiring. The view was incredible and good and drinks were amazing. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot!

Lovely patio. Great ambiance. Exceptional customer service. Bread is baked in house. Food was delicious, highly recommend the bread, calamari and carpaccio. Drinks were delicious as well. A great spot for brunch or dinner, but a touch on the expensive side. More of a casual fine dining experience.
