Dr Joseph Benbassat - Richmond Hill Pediatric Dentist

My kids have been going to Dr. Benbassat for over 10 years and I would give him my highest recommendation. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, attentive and very gentle during procedures. Dr. Benbassat and his wonderful staff provide a positive experience for kids going to the dentist. Dr. Benbassat has gone above and beyond to help my children including answering my emergency calls and coming in on his day off to attend to an dental injury.

We love Doctor Joseph Benbassat and love his office! Very professional and talented doctor! Very nice welcoming and helpful staff!I also posted this more than a year ago on ratemd... hope this will be helpful to people:We finally found the dentist I always wanted for my 4.5 years old daughter. We only just started with him and are absolutely impressed and feel lucky to have found this doctor. My daughter needed dental work done under general anesthesia in hospital, as she has allergies and asthma. Our first appointment was moved earlier, which was very nice and courteous of the staff and the doctor. Dr. Joseph Benbassat and his staff accommodated us the same day I called about a problem. He was nice, patient, fast and professional with my daughter, no extra talk that sometimes makes kids even more nervous, very good approach to kids, a real paediatric dentist! He took all x-rays and checked all the problems masterfully, and gave instructions to schedule surgery ASAP. I must mention that I didn't stop looking for doctors when others were offering us surgery in 3-6 months. And I am so glad I didn't, it brought us to Dr. Joseph Benbassat! We are looking forward to coming back to your professional office on a regular basis, and we would recommend you to everyone we know. I also thank you Doctor for saving all my daughter's teeth, you did an amazing beautiful work, even she herself can't stop looking in the mirror so proud of her teeth :)) Bravo and big big thank you to Dr. Joseph Benbassat and all the support staff!! I have 3 children that have been going to Dr. Benbassat for years. I would never consider using anyone but him. He is professional, experienced, and maintains a great sense of humour. My children love to visit the dentist. How many children can say this? In my opinion, he and his staff are the best of the best.

If you want almost perfect teeth.. During consultation I was told certain things than towards the end I was told I didn't need to move my bottom teeth forward. It was within the amount of space allowed. Than before removing braces I told them I felt that a tooth had moved. They looked, said it was fine. It's not. Tooth just have my middle ones :( Front & Center. Spent thousand of dollars to always be aware a tooth is set further back than others. Office staff are very nice! But if you have thousands to spend... Take it someone where else.

Dr. Joseph Benbassat was very professional, honest, courteous, and (I felt) diagnosed our kids ethically.

Dr Joseph is amazing, there is a secretary that works there, she must have been on the debate team, she is like a drill sergeant. Its hard to get a word in sometimes.I understand that its her job but chill out there is not need to be so aggressive and to dominate the conversation all the time.out of respect sometimes you need to let people talk.Communication is the key.

Had a very negative experience with Dr. Banbassat, children dentist in Richmond Hill. I would not recommend them at all.I took my toddler there for the first time. Three receptionist sitting there. No one acknowledged us. Three iPads are in the waiting rooms. Kids are fighting to get a turn on one. I do not take time off work and my busy schedule to take my daughter to spend time on iPads. When it came our turn, the assistant was surprised that we still hadn’t filled out the first patient form. And my daughter would not leave the iPads to go into the room. When leaving the office, I had to physically grab my daughter and drag her outside, since she wouldn’t left go of the iPads. I would go where no electronic gadgets are set up in the waiting room and someone would actually welcome us on our first dentist experience ever.

Love Dr. Benbassat! Both of my kids see him and my son recently had two cavities filled. He was soothing, calming, and caring, as usual! The staff are very kind and welcoming. And the office is equipped with lots of kids activities so that they enjoy their appointments. I literally couldn't get my son to leave the office and the kids actually look forward to going to the dentist! I absolutely recommended Dr. Benbassat and his team at the Pediatric Dentristry office in Richmond Hill!

Dr. Benbassat is a great dentist and is always very helpful in recommending the right treatment for the issue my child faced. I was however openly gaslighted by the team at front on a concern that could have been addressed in a few seconds. Instead they chose to take this path. Very disappointing. If you spend a few minutes, you can see the manner in which receptionist was handling calls (nothing but sarcasm)

The dentists and hygenists have always been super nice and very competent. Unfortunately we have had to leave this dentist due to the front desk staff. The incredibly rude texts they send you if you do not fill in covid screening over a day before the appointment! Incredibly long, all cap, threatening texts. I explained that I was away and would fill in the form when we got to the appointment and she was rude and threatening both in texts and on the phone. I said if the forms can't be filled in when we arrive (like every other place) then go ahead and cancel the appointment. She then threatened me with a $50 cancelation fee for each of my four kids. I'm so glad we were not already committed to them for orthodontics as well!
