It's definitely a Sugar Mountain if I've ever seen one, but it's a bit on the small side. The one at Place d'Orléans is bigger. Go there instead if you want very specific kinds of candy.

The store's stock was very low. Bins were empty and there was a strange abundance of Cyndi Lauper gum throughout the store. It seemed like they were going out of candy because the gelato business was booming.

I love candy and by the name of the store, I was expecting a lot. When I went in though, the store seemed empty and many of the candy containers were empty. I'm not sure how often they refill the bins but they need to do it more often. The cashier was also pretty cranky.

Used to like this store more but have been in twice lately & not impressed. First time I was the only customer in the store & the employee didn't even look up from their phone to greet me. Second time I wandered the empty store for quite awhile before an employee finally came out of the back room. Doesn't seem like they care about helping customers. Also many of the bulk candy bins were empty, missing labels, or had wrong labels.

This place used to be amazing when I was younger, but since the new management, there's been minimal variety and it's getting to a point where they have very little that you cannot buy elsewhere for cheaper. They used to have every flavor or jelly belly, but seem to have cut it down to a handful, no more Walker's chips, and they seem to be cutting down on the variety of (overpriced) soda as well. Plus a ridiculous number of Cindi Lauper cards and diminishing other memorabilia that made the store what it was.

AMAZING ! Great variety of candies. The concept is so fun and unlike the other stores of this type, you pay to the lb so you don't have to do maths all way long. And the prices are okay ! Special mention to the retro movies decoration that adds more fun to this experience.

Changed management in 2017, upped prices, old stale normal candy now instead of the nice candy sugar mountain usually has (and the St. Laurent one still has). If you want regular bulk store candy just go to a bulk store and get it fresher and cheaper. R.I.P. sugar mountain

This place has gone way downhill in the past couple of years. On more than one occasion, I have been in the store when the staff are in the back and do not realize I'm there. I've been alone in the store for several minutes without being acknowledged, before leaving. Also, they've gotten rid of about 20% of their bins. On my latest visit, they had introduced 2 pricing tiers for bulk candy (one for speciality" candy). Most of the bins were nearly empty and I really questioned the age of the candy. Sugar Mountain had a heyday but it seems whoever owns the business doesn't care about making an effort anymore."

I normally love this place. The ice cream we had was delicious. However, the store was really empty of a lot of its candy. I suppose it was because it was such a busy day but it honestly looked like it was going out of business. It needed a serious restocking!

Neat little candy store with a large variety of candy, both current and vintage. Some great novelty candy (chocolate-covered crickets anyone?), as well as some wonderfully mouth-watering gelato.
