Restaurant Chez Mai Lai
The food here is good and reasonably priced. The downside of the restaurant is the way they make you feel rushed. They ask you to choose your dessert before you've had your main dish. They're constantly checking to see if you've finished eating, and as soon as you're done they grab your dish and hit you with the dessert and the bill. Maybe they are trying to be efficient, but it makes you feel like they don't want you to stay very long.

The best Vietnamese/Asian restaurant in Quebec City, the owners are very friendly and the food is very delicious,large portions and great price, oh forgot to mention you can bring your own wine! Can't beat it!!!

The food was as expected and we had great service.Only thing I would suggest to the owners is to add a some music.Other than that, great place.

Had a dinner here. Comes with a soup, 2 egg rolls, main dish, dessert, and coffee or tea for $22 to $26. Nice yeah!

We arrived with group of six looking for a table around 7:30PM. We were greeted by an older gentleman and asked how many people, we replied 6. Despite many tables available, we were rudely told restaurant is full and shooed away from restaurant (as if we are beggars). Our family is rightly confused and felt this is the rudest person we have encountered during our visit in Quebec. Please stay away.

The owner of the place was very friendly. Food was really good and service fast. Acid test was my daughter finishing all her rice with her meats. She only finishes her food when it tastes good. =)

Restaurant Chez Mai Lai
We were refused service at the door despite there being lots of tables available and arrived well before the closing time. We were quite literally shoo'ed away after being told the restaurant was full (despite there being multiple tables available). A note to mention is that our group were all Asian, not sure if that affected anything but interesting observation to note. If you like being abused, then maybe Chez Mai Lai is your jam.
