Disappointed with the lack of knowledge and professionalism from the receptionist at this clinic. I attempted to book an appointment to get a series of vaccinations I am due for (after dropping off my vaccination records for a nurse to review) and the receptionist incorrectly said that I'm not due for any vaccinations and then tried to say that the vaccinations aren't publicly funded (also wrong). She must have been eager for her weekend to start because she then tried to dismiss me by saying I would need to go to the Sheldon Chumir clinic to have these vaccinations done. I realize she is not a nurse so perhaps expecting that she would have a basic understanding of Alberta public health immunization programs is expecting too much... oh wait, she is a receptionist at an Alberta Health Services public health clinic... not an excessive expectation!

My experience with this location was outstanding. Had a lovely RN who was a lactation consultant. She helped me with my newborn latching during Covid times. She did not mind being close and personal to help a new mom. I love the fact that she really wanted to help a desperate new mom during the pandemic. Our little one's first immunization went smooth as well. Staff and nurses at this location are very courteous and friendly!

Very friendly nurses but this NEW receptionist was very unprofessional and unhelpful and didn't seem to have gotten proper training. We arrived 15 mins early prior to the appointment as per instructions but my baby and I had to wait for over an hour for his vaccinations and apparently there was a miscommunication from the receptionist to the staff side and he was marked as already administered vaccine" while he was not even been seen by a nurse. Planning to visit another location the next time if the same receptionist is still with this location."

Bad service, staff unwilling to help even if they are in error and not following nurses recommendations. There is a total disconnect from the receptionists and the nurses. We have a trip coming up, the nurse okayed a change of date since it falls within the guidelines of Alberta Health. However for one month and a half we tried to change the date with three attempts made and we just couldn't get the receptionists to listen to what the nurse told us. And in one attempt they told us they would look into it and would call us back later in the date, the call never came, the spot that was available was later taken by someone else. It would be nice if staff was properly trained, one was rude, the rest nice, but refused to do anything to help, including verifying with the nurses.

The appointment was right on time; the receptionists were responsive and helpful; the nurse was knowledgeable, personable and kind. The health centre is exceptionally clean and well maintained on the inside as well!

Had to call an ambulance and they arrived in record time, they were professional, helpful and just all around good people. As someone who has always been afraid of hospitals and ambulances, this was a huge thing for me. I was afraid that the ambulance bill was going to be ridiculously high, I ended up only paying 250$. I was expecting around 300-1000$ and even my nurse Auntie said it will probably be around 1000$. When I saw 250$ I was so thankful, as I have been struggling a lot these past few days & I’ve been really trying to better my life

Booked my tetanus shot through here after receiving an injury. Took 30 minutes in and out including my 15 minute waiting period after being vaccinated. Staff was friendly, nurse made sure I was informed and consented.Overall pleasant and efficient experience.

I have been taking my son for his vaccines at this location and we have had a great experience with the nurses and the rest of the staff. Appointments run on time and it never feels too crowded. My only complaint is that there are very few visitor parking stalls and in occasion I have had to park on the street and walk with the baby in arms to get to the building

We have been coming to this clinic for our baby's vaccinations, about 4-5 visits.Pros: our appointments have always been right on time and this is important when you are arriving with children.Instructions for getting the baby weighed in/height are very clear, and efficient. The front desk staff / receptionists have been very friendly and nice on the phone for bookings. The nurses have all been very good. Some more knowledgeable than others and some can answer specific vaccine-related questions, others cannot (I am in healthcare so my questions are usually beyond the usual scope of most parents and it's fine if the nurses don't know). More importantly, they have all been kind and caring and did the jabs efficiently. The nurses never seemed to rush us through, always ample time. In fact the time slot bookings are longer than needed (perhaps why they are so swamped with bookings).Cons - Sometimes it's really difficult to get a quick appointment, ie. currently they are booking two months ahead. The clinic exterior and entryway seems a bit dodgy, does not look nice at all, run down, odd place. This is not a clinic-specific issue, but I feel that 12mo old babies should have a choice of leg vs arm injections. If they are large for their age, or even average weight, then arm is fine. But for babies that are at the low end of the spectrum, the leg is better. Since the choice for site of injection is based upon average size of babies at 12mo (and size is highly variable at 12mo), why not just make it based on a particular height/weight instead of age. The current 12mo" cut off doesn't make sense to me....not a huge deal

This AHS clinic has been good to my family and myself. Vaccinations always explained well before administration, friendly staff and it's really nice that you can walk in anytime to weigh your baby. Another bonus is that all 5 of our appointments there have been on time. Thank you!
