Our hotel package at Pinnacle at the pier incl an E-bike discount which brought us to this quaint little shop. Harry was working and is the nicest young man that got us all set up and ready to see North Van on the “spirit trail”. The bikes make it so easy for riders of any level to have a relaxing day of activity and sight seeing. The bikes at Coastal Cogs were in excellent condition and well cared for. Harry was very knowledgeable about the bikes and the area and obviously loved his job and dealing with people in his wonderful quiet demeanor.

We had such an amazing experience with Coastal Cogs - Karen was so helpful and made sure we had the right fit/seats on the bikes and gave the hubby some directions for a great ride (and some restaurant recommendations too)! The bikes were comfy and easy to use - the online form super easy too. We have rented bikes at least 5 times when in Vancouver, and Coastal Cogs is the BEST!! Don’t hesitate…go right now and rent a bike!

Such a great way to spend Mother's Day with my teen daughters! I had not been on a bike for 5 years so was a little nervous. The staff at Coastal Cogs was amazing and made sure we were all fitted with the with the perfect bike and provided us with excellent directions on different routes. We rode along Spirit Trail all the way to Park Royal for some picnic supplies and then over Lion's Gate Bridge to Second Beach. The bikes were so fun to ride and comfortable too. Thanks Coastal Cogs for the best day - I can't wait to go again!

Another great local business on the North Shore. They have high quality OHM bikes for rent, Herschel merch, Ryders Sunglasses and naturally made sunscreen which works excellently for this summer heat! They also have a ton of neat little items such as posters themed around our North Shore, dog whistles, and other locally owned/made product.This clean shop is a nice place to come if you're looking to ride the spirit trail, and even their half day rental is long enough to go far, enjoy some scenery, and come back :)

Our experience at Coastal Cogs was excellent! The service was really exceptional: helpful, accommodating and lovely. The bikes were suuuuper comfy and so much fun, and there was zero range anxiety because the batteries hold almost 200km of range! I'll definitely be back!

We had a LOT of fun spending the day cycling round Van with our ebikes. The bikes were very well maintained and great quality. Karen was super helpful taking the time to explain the bikes and make sure they were fitted to correct size for us. Detailed directions given for the route we wanted to take which was extremely Cy ke friendly. My first time on an ebike and now I want one of my own haha. All these details plus a gorgeous day of October sunshine made it a perfect day! I would def return to do this again if in the area! Thank-you!
