Went into the shop today kinda anxious about getting a new RC car and plane, was greeted by Auther and he was extremely helpful and friendly. Store is very well stocked. Excited to be doing business with these guys.

Not having a local hobby shop in my town sucks. I’m thankful I found Big Boys With Cool Toys. My experience with them has been awesome. They are quick to get my items shipped, have good prices and most of the time have what I need in stock! We all know that you need a solid hobby shop to stand behind you when bashing your trucks as hard as I do! Their text support for online orders is absolutely fantastic. They always respond very quickly (seems like it doesn’t matter day or night they respond quickly). They are my go to hobby shop for all my parts for all my trucks. Highly recommend! They also have a great virtual tour on their website so you can really feel like you’ve been there in person. Great bunch of people!

Don’t shop with the online store. Be very wary of anything you purchase there. Exchange return policy is garbage. Better off with other stores.Providing more context just to warn peopleIf you order a part online to pick up at the store, they consider delivery at the store part of the warranty period. The part was unopened and I wish to exchange the part for the proper one. The car is over 10 years old and I didn’t have the manuals anymore. I went by the pictures and used the subpar filters offers by the website.You are much better off ordering from Amazon as you have more security and better online search tools despite being a tiny more expensive it is worth it.Given the sites response l, it’s obvious they’re a lot of unsatisfied customers. As obvious many people want to return things and are unable to.

A genuinely excellent experience all around. I am relatively new to the RC car world, although I have spent 10+ years building FPV drones. I have dealt with dozens of hobby shops, some great, some not. I recently made a trip here to pick up a traxxas XRT. Nice guys, helpful, and knowledgeable. Very happy with my purchase. 3 weeks later and after only a few runs, the motor fried! Seems I am unlucky and got a lemon motor , Traxxas QC missed this one. Although rare, it happens. Still within the warranty period, but I was not looking forward to waiting 3+ weeks for Traxxas to swap it out. So I called Big Boys…. and wow , within 48 hours of the failure , I was walking out of their store with a brand new motor. They worked with Traxxas in record time to service the warranty claim. I was impressed that they not only had the replacement in stock, but how smooth and fast their customer service was. They even gave me a free t shirt! Much appreciated. For anyone looking to get into the hobby or simply a reliable source for parts, your in good hands here. They also have a points programs and frequent raffles which isn’t something I see many places. I plan on making another trip there in the coming weeks to pick up a car for a friends birthday. Thanks again. Cheers!

This shop is so vast, there are so many different rc categories, I spent over 2 hours in the shop, Anna and Frank helped choose the perfect rc Crawler and the color is Amazing! I love the shirt!!!!!Came back to the store on Fathers day. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I GOT 2 TRX4 BRONCO'S FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!!!!

I am brand new to rc stuff. I found Big Boys With Cool Toys by a complete fluke. I bought a used 1/10 scale sct and blew it into a million pieces the next day. (Usually how I get into things, but it brake it, fix it.) So I went online to find a hobby shop in Ontario that I could order from. These guys popped up, had some of what I needed in stock and could get the rest in a few days. So I made the order after talking to someone on their text line, (love that they do this), and the parts were in 4 days later. Just as they said they would be. So I hoping in the car and made the trip down with another list of things I wanted to pick up. After spending almost an hour talking with Frank and Arthur I got everything I had on my list and the parts I ordered. These guys are truly awesome dudes. I walked in with some research done and a good idea of what I wanted and these guys helped with anything and everything. If they didn’t know we worked together to figure it out. I will for sure be using these guys for all my hobby needs. A week into this hobby and my truck is completely rebuilt and I’m ready to run again thanks to Big Boys With Cool Toys.

Great place. They do Traxxas trucks and boats as well as spares and fuel.Friendly staff.Will visit again.

Prompt and helpful customer service. I ordered an RC plane and then texted a few hours later asking them to add spare props to my order. They were able to add them to the package just before the courier arrived to pick it up. It was very much appreciated!

MUST WRITE A REVIEWI realize that this is a family owned (20 years) hobby store business and I can see why it is expanding. I purchased a pre-order UMX turbo timber EVO hoping to have it in time for my summer holidays at the cottage. I must say I have never been kept more in touch with the shipping progress by any company.The Service Department DOES respond in 1-3 hours as advertised. I was always in the loop and my order arrived as predicted. It may be a “hobby” to some, but to me it’s important and the excellent communications has made me a solid customer. Thanks again. Brian H.
