You can hear the music playing from the restaurant all night long if you stay in the suites above it. Ordered room service the first night as the restaurant was fully booked, server went to the wrong room with our food, and never called. We went to check in 1.5hours later and our room temperature food was soggy from obviously sitting for so long. Super thin walls, super disappointing stay and experience - won’t be back.

We went for coffee two days in a row and received TERRIBLE customer service. The women at the till (dark hair and glasses) was so rude! The only words that came out of her mouth were “small or large”, that’s it! No smile, no hello she just takes your order then plops it down on the counter and walks away. I ordered a latte that was 1/2 foam. So many upgrades have been done to this location and on the surface it looks great however, without welcoming and competent staff The Lakehouse will always be a disappointment.

I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit at this restaurant, and I must say that my experience was incredibly disappointing, leaving me frustrated and appalled. Not only did the restaurant refuse to allow dine-in service, but they also exhibited blatant racism, making my visit an absolute nightmare.First and foremost, the fact that the restaurant did not allow dine-in service was completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to have the option of enjoying my meal in a comfortable and welcoming environment. It is the restaurant's responsibility to provide suitable arrangements for their patrons, and this fundamental expectation was disregarded entirely. Moreover, the racist treatment I encountered at this location was utterly deplorable. I was met with hostility and prejudice by the staff from the moment I entered. The waitstaff made it clear through their actions and offensive remarks that they held discriminatory views, treating me differently solely based on my race. This type of behavior has no place in any establishment, and it deeply saddened me to witness such bigotry in a supposedly professional setting. Not only did the restaurant fail to accommodate dine-in customers, but they also engaged in discriminatory practices that are not only morally reprehensible but also illegal. Customers should feel respected, valued, and welcome, regardless of their background or ethnicity. Sadly, this was not the case at this place.I cannot emphasize enough how disheartening and infuriating this experience was. It is imperative that businesses foster an inclusive and equitable environment, treating all customers with dignity and respect. The restaurant failed miserably in this regard, leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth and a strong desire never to return.I would strongly advise against patronizing due to their refusal of dine-in service and their disgraceful display of racism. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the management, urging them to rectify their policies and attitudes promptly. Until then, I will be spreading the word about my unpleasant encounter to ensure that others are aware of the deplorable behavior exhibited at this store. In conclusion, I strongly discourage anyone from dining at such a place due to their refusal to accommodate dine-in customers and their racist treatment of patrons. Seek out establishments that embrace diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all customers, as they deserve your support far more than this disappointing and discriminatory restaurant.

The location of this boutique hotel can’t be beat and the upgrades that have been put into place over the past few years are definitely welcomed. The shower was especially nice. However, consider staying somewhere else if you like to have face to face communication with hotel staff. Communication needed to be done via text unless you wanted to walk down the street to their sister hotel and was limited to the hours of 10 am to 5 pm. When our air conditioner starting acting up, we had to text to get it fixed. It was fixed, albeit temporarily, but we had to go back to the room to confirm that before 5 pm. Furthermore there was no further acknowledgement or follow up even via text by the staff regarding the issue. The walls are paper thin – it’s not enjoyable to wake up to hear the toilet flushing next door or fellow guests talking. The music from the front area can be heard well into the evening if you are staying over top of the restaurant. Staying on the second floor is a better option if accessibility is not an issue as there is only stairs. The beds could be more comfortable and the rooms would benefit from addition of a microwave.I can’t speak to how the restaurant was as the menu wasn’t enticing but just to note, the ice cream shoppe has been replaced by a coffee shop and some sort of store that features “Adventure Goods” mostly being beach towels and candles.

Every time we have eaten here the service has been exceptional and the food is so good! Our pickup order was wrong and when we brought it back they knew right away and made us fresh pizzas and reimbursed us.

February 2023. Temperature was around -11c and we spent an afternoon/evening in the area. Warmed up at The Lakehouse after a cross country ski.The server was polite and knowledgeable and fine with us sharing an appetizer and the special burger of the day. They even brought us hot water to warm up. There are GF options and a focus on Manitoba made.We also could overhear some staff talking kindly & positively about the customers they were serving. We felt free to sit around outside too and there were some others enjoying the cozy hut outside with friends. We've never been able to just walk in for a meal in the peak summer hours, so this was a real treat. There's also a Cafe and some shopping. This is a great~ date spot~ friends gathering~ family outing

Went for a late lunch, around 2:00. Didn't seem that busy, but we waited a good 20 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of tables. Took an hour to get our food, which wasn't even that good. I had the tomato soup. When I asked for crackers, was told there was none. Overheard another gentleman ask the same question. The place is definitely overhyped.
