Auntie Maggie's Caribbean Meals
I now finished my meal & I had to jump on here and give my review. AlI who know me, knows that I usually give restaurants 3-6 months to get their stride before I check it out. However, after hearing the rave reviews (especially from my fellow Caribbean/Jamaican friends), I decided to ditch that rule and check it out. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Meal (2 Jerk Chicken Legs & Thighs, Rice & Peas, Macaroni salad) and I purchased the fried dumpling. The service was EXCELLENT. As I entered the restaurant, I was warmly greeted. Once I ordered, I engaged some pleasant small talk with who I assumed were the owners/employees while I waited for my take-out. The food was TOP OF THE LINE. My mouth watered when I opened my takeaway box. BIG PORTIONS! The Rice and Peas was moist & flavourful...and the Jerk Chicken was some of the best that I have ever had. The fried dumplings were big and helped to sop up the juices left behind from the Jerk. WOW. I highly recommend Auntie Maggie's Caribbean Meals for anybody wanting authentic Jamaican food.

Even outside the restaurant, I could smell how wonderful the food was going to be! Great service and amazing food. I live out of town and the takeout held up well to a 20 min drive home. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Auntie Maggie's Caribbean Meals
Great, authentic, Caribbean food in a quaint, colourful space.I found out afterwards that the restaurant had only recently opened, having evolved from a take-out place. This explains the inexperienced sever we had. He was super friendly - everyone was - but didn't know the menu and forgot part of our order. When we mentioned it to a lady from the kitchen, she apologized and we still didn't get the missing item. At the till on the way out we mentioned it again and the lady promptly handed us a bag with theissong dumpling, at no charge, and apologized. Good save at the end.Regardless, I'll be back next time I'm in Regina. Hopefully next time they'll have worked out some of the bugs on the serving side - that can be taught, the friendly, authentic hospitaly comes naturally. And the food? It's worth missing out on a dumpling one time.

Chicken and rice were delicious. The macaroni/coleslaw salad was nice but sort of unnecessary with all the rice one receives. Otherwise very good.

As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you are welcomed with very friendly faces. So immediately you feel at home. I love that . And as for the food… wow!! You eat it and it just makes you want more and more… Very delicious. highly recommended

This restaurant makes me feel like it is Sunday and all we have to eat dinner at Mommy's home. Small but very warm place. The ladies were super friendly. The food was very nice. I really felt like my mom cooked for me. I suggested this place. You have to try it.
