The Homestead Adventures

A wonderful spot for a relaxing get away. Curtis and Angelina are so nice and welcoming, the tent is very comfortable, the view is gorgeous, and there's plenty to do if you like to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

My wife and I recently visited Homestead Adventures for our anniversary. We wanted a trip away that was comfortable and peaceful, as well as offering outdoor adventure. We chose Homestead initially because their website also offered links and information about the local region that served as our roadmap to planning what we wanted to do. We could not be more pleased with our choice!For our stay, Curtis met us as we arrived to give us a tour of his beautiful property and amenities. We were very pleased with the accommodations – each glamping tent was inviting, warm, and comfortable. The washroom facilities are new and well maintained. The spectacular view of the lake and surrounding area made us fall immediately in love, especially during sunset!Our planned exploration of the area included having Curtis take us for a Kayak tour of Newtown. This was the highlight of our trip. We felt very safe and cared for with Curtis as he prepared us to be on the water and offered great coaching in using the kayaks once we departed. The scenic views of Newtown and Atlantic coast were improved by Curtis’ knowledge of the history and biology of the area!Thanks to the hospitality of Curtis and his family, we had a wonderful visit and are eager to return!

If you are looking for a fun, beautiful, clean, and outdoorsy place to stay while in the new-Wes-valley area, I highly recommend homestead adventures. This place is truly a high end glamping experience.The owners are so kind and offer so many outstanding tours and adventures. They even treated our dog to a great weekend.It is so well located for access to hikes, beaches, kayaking, historic tours, good food and ice-cream options.

Relaxing and quiet getaway, Curtis was a great host.

We had booked a glamping unit for one night and it was everything we were looking for and then some.Curtis (the owner) was more than accommodating. From the second we arrived he had welcomed us with a tour of the property and offered to assist in any way he could.The unit itself was very clean, complete with a comfortable bed, new BBQ, and a patio with a beautiful view of the lake. The private bathroom and shower units on the property were very clean.We look forward to returning in the near future.

We just spent a night here and had an amazing time! Highly recommend this glamping experience to anyone. Curtis is so accommodating, dogs are welcome, the view is amazing, and the facilities are outstanding!!! We will definitely be returning for multiple nights!

Amazing experience! Easy for any level of experience and strength. Great views and Curtis was very knowledgeable about the history, the area, the ecolgy and conservation. We will definitely be back again. HIGHLY recommended.

Visited this site for a three-generation family getaway. From the serenity of the location on Southwest Pond, to the attention to detail, to the super hosts, we loved every minute! Seriously, go see Curtis and Angelina - you won't be disappointed!

Just spent 3 nights here and had a great experience! Tents are roomy and solid, lovely sunsets, and washroom/shower facilities are top-notch. Curtis is a wonderful host, made sure we had everything we needed, provided info re trails and Parks in the area. He took us kayaking, a first for me, and what a fabulous morning we had on the water! Couldn't ask for better! Would highly recommend!
