US Social Security Administration

The SSA process went very smooth. My appointment was for 12 noon. I went there at 11:45 and I did check in and was sent to the officer right away . No waiting line and no waste of time . The officer on window 6 was very friendly and smooth . By 12:15 I was done with everything .From SSA appointment to the application…everything was smooth .

I didn't have an appointment and I didn't have to wait long. However, the person that was working" with me was so nasty. Extremely unhelpful and condescending. Refusing to answer questions directly and taking a half hour to give me a form for a replacement social security card and documentation stating my award letter. Absolutely uncalled for. His behavior was unwarranted and undeserved. I can't speak for the rest of the staff but this guy

Went there to apply for my SSN for the first time. I was born in USA but have lived in Canada my whole life so it was a unique situation. The guard at the door was super friendly and helpful, and the gentleman I spoke to at the office named John was a huge help, very patient and understanding . although I was missing paperwork and couldn’t complete the application the same day I was guided in the proper direction.

No waiting at all, got there at 8:55 am they opened the doors at 9:00 am, signed in using there computer, didn't even sit down and my number was called... I was back in my car at 9:13 am...

I went here on a Monday morning at about 8:45am. I had a great experience at this location! I don't think the people who have to deal with crappy situations all day get as much credit as they deserve. That being said, my situation was pretty straightforward. I just needed to get my last name changed. There were about 10 people waiting in line outside the door before 9am. I thought this would take me hours. I got called up within 20 min of check-in. The lady who helped me was just being yelled at by someone who couldn't get something approved, so I was assuming she wouldn't be too happy. I was wrong. She was very pleasant, helpful, and made the experience amazing. Some of my friends went to the downtown location to change their name and they had to wait for hours. This did not happen at this location. I am grateful for how smooth my issue was handled and I know that every situation is different. I just wouldn't assume that you are going to have a bad experience based on these other reviews with no details. I think it was likely due to something that is not the responsibility of this office. That was my impression of some of the other angry people that were here when I went. Employees are great in-person! I didn't try to call so I cannot speak on that.

Why are proven useless disposable masks required in this office?? Is it law ? Frustrating not being able to conduct business in office without. Is this a town, county, state, or federal law?

I went there today and the person in window 4 was very nice good morning, how can I help you, very helpful, they need more people like him, very helpful, he made my day

Covids19 is fake that what they mess up SS system!

I really wish I could give 0 stars... I sent original documents and application for my sons Social Security card by CERTIFIED mail twice. Both times I have gotten my Original documents back and waited a month without receiving his social security card. I called only for them to tell me they don't have my documents on file. I begged them to let me come in to get my baby's card because I needed it for his health insurance renewal. They said that a manager will get a hold of me. He still hasn't called me. I call daily and still nothing! I don't have his social security number because I never received it after he was born. He NEEDS his health insurance not only because we are in the middle of a pandemic but because he needs his medication!!! Thanks alot!!!

Is there a negative stars for negative customer service option available here? I sent an original passport (FYI - even the passport department would accept a copy of a passport) to re-issue my daughter's SSN card. Original documents were received there and mailed back to me with no tracking/no insurance and I quote because we never do". It wasn't even an option for me to pay for insurance/tracking back to me. And they will take absolutely no accountability for it not getting back to me. If I don't insure something and it is lost/damaged
