Yokato Yokabai Ramen
Insane ramen which fully exceeded all expectations I had based on the hype of this place. Well worth the wait, but suggest going for lunch to beat the crowds. I haven’t had ramen this good since a salaryman-filled hole in the wall in Kyoto. The broth is so incredibly flavoured, the noodles are absolute perfection and even the pork in the ramen was marinated with some sort of sweetness. The croquettes are to die for (we ate them so quickly I totally forgot to take a photo) and the karaage was phenomenal with some of the best sauce I’ve ever seen paired with it (photo is one piece less than what arrived as we couldn’t help ourselves from tasting). The food is absolutely a 100/10 and can’t wait to go back to try to other menu items. Note that the ramen side is currently closed for renovations, so we ate on the other side. The service was a bit all over the place (eg. got our beers after our first appetiser was out) but still recommend this place nonetheless. If you’re going to eat ramen anywhere in Montreal and want a true Japanese dish, make sure to stop in here.

Great ramen place. The broth was delicious. I like the fact that you can choose less salty, because most ramen places have broths that are too salty. We had the karaage and takoyaki as appetizers. The karaage was hot and crispy. The takoyaki melted in our mouths.Loved the decor and layout.Their only fault is that service was a bit slow.

I had the torikotsu (chicken broth). Probably some of the best ramen I ever had. (My photo doesn’t do it justice.) The broth was very creamy. The noodles were cooked al dente and I would recommend going with the thick noodles. The teriyaki chicken was tender and I could taste a hint of sweetness. From their condiments, I added some of their chili oil, which gave a touch of spiciness. Great ambiance as well. The only criticism I have is that the broth could have been hotter in temperature. Overall, this was my first time coming to this restaurant and it certainly won’t be my last!

This Japanese based ramen is simply an explosion in your mouth. I tried sesame broth and I found it more flavorful than the pork broth, even though both were amazing. I enjoyed every bite. Even after I got full, I couldn’t stop eating up until there was nothing on the plate. Waiting time can be long (I waited about 15 minutes a Saturday at 2:30 pm) and even more during busy times but it is definitely worth the wait. As a side I ordered the fried chicken and it was great.

(5/5) For everything. The service was really good, the server was really pretty. And they gave us a complimentary drink due their renovation. The broth was well seasoned and creamy, the tokontsu was delicious which is the most special dish. The sides like the takoyaki were normal and tasted like any other.

Cute spot for ramen. The food was a little overpriced but all in all a good experience. I loved being able to choose the saltiness level of the dish. Also the service was great. They do not take reservations and there’s only a small seating area so I would make sure to go on a weekday or early on a weekend. The chicken soup base was delicious and I wish I tried the thicker noodles. All in all, a great dining experience.

Yokato Yokabai Ramen
The most delicious ramen I’ve ever had. The chicken broth is warm to my heart and they gave large chunks of chicken. Besides, the chicken is fresh and also presents the warm feeling. This chicken ramen essentially exploits the chicken broth to the greatest extent, really recommend! The matcha ice cream is also authentic because I have not tasted the industrial ingredients but dense matcha flavor. Last but not least, the price is reasonable.

I went a Monday evening and it was quite busy as we had to add ourselves to their virtual waiting list. The place was very packed as we were going to have to wait over an hour to sit. We ended up sitting at the bar area instead. The place is a little small and there was not that much room overall . The guy at the bar was very friendly and gave us a good service. The ramen was good quality and you can customize it with the order sheet. They are generous with the meat portion and their chicken teriyaki was very good. They also have many interesting options excluding the ramens . They also give extra dressings on the side for the ramens which was a nice feature as well . Their cocktails were good and they have many unique options.

The ramen is always good. Our service was quite slow and the server got our order mixed up. But they apologized and gaved us free dessert. Overall, it is a nice restaurant with caring servers.
