Booked an eye exam here after seeing the positive reviews. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the exam with Dr. J.B. (I'm using initials to be discreet), while professional, seemed cold and rushed, and I walked away disappointed.I came in because I felt like my eyes were always tired/dried compared to a year ago. The exam showed that my eyes were healthy and that my prescription hadn't changed. As I was asking questions about why it felt like my eyes had gotten worse or why they felt dry all the time, the Dr. seemed uninterested in discussing/explaining the problem further, and insisted I use eye drops everyday, end of the story. I had to Google on my own to learn more about possible root problems like allergies/humidity/screentime etc to address the cause and not only treat the symptoms of dry eyes with eye drops.So overall, this place was ok, but didn't live up to its high reviews in my opinion. I will try a different place next year.

We’ve been coming here for years. My children are very comfortable with the doctor. Great customer service. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. I live in Laval and drive to Jean Talon because they are worth it!

I have been a Nicopoulos customer for over a decade now. Every single service I had from them has been of outstanding quality. I recently made the mistake of taking an eye exam at G&S because Nicopoulos didn't have an available time slot that week; and the difference in quality of service was huge. G&S optometrist gave a bad prescription and I bought the glasses at Nicopoulos. When I told them about the issue with the glasses, which was absolutely none of their fault, as they matched what the G&S optometrist prescribed, they were very accommodating. The lady optometrist was a charm. Very knowledgeable and very kind. She immediately knew what was wrong and fixed the problem although she could've sent me back to the culprit at G&S. Thank you Nicopoulos! For anything vision / eyeglasses related, I'll be definitely and exclusively going there for the decade to come :) They are genuine craftswomen and men who know and love what they do and who treat their customers with great care and respect.

I have visited before just to browse their selection of frames and received great service even though I said I was just browsing. I bought my glasses elsewhere but it needed repairs so I tried another optometrist on the same street. They did not really listen to my problem and suggested a solution that would not have fixed anything. I went to Nico as I remember my first experience was good. David was phenomenal as he took a good look at my glasses and told me how he thought he could fix it. He gave me a quote before he started the repair and I agreed. It turned out the problem was not what he initially thought so he showed me and explained to me what the problem actually was and I saw it for myself. He quoted me another price because it was more labour intensive but at this point I already trusted his expertise and attention to detail. I haven’t received my glasses back yet but I am just floored with the amazing customer service I have received thus far. I will be visiting again and I recommend this place to anyone. Kudos David!

I had been looking for some time for a new optometrist in Montreal for my annual eye exam. Based on previous reviews but with some trepidation, I made an appointment at Nicoloulos. The initial eye tests were performed by a wonderful, funny assistant and then I met Dr. Castro who performed a very thorough exam. She was clearly competent and asked many good questions. She took her time to perform the various tests and answered all of my questions thoroughly and without the feeling that she wanted to quickly finish the appointment and rush to the next one. I was very impressed with her warmth, good humor, competency, and overall demeanor. I'd highly recommend Dr. Castro and Nicopoulos Opticians for any eye needs.

David was knowledgeable, efficient, and perfectly adjusted my glasses quickly. The rest of the staff was very friendly, and would definitely recommend going here for both purchasing or repair.
