Really good family owned mom and pop type restaurant servinv east african food. Loved the fact they had some really good dishes which is from Indian cuisine as well. Tried kachori, nylon bhaji, choorma ladoo and kadhi khichri. Kadhi khicri and ladoo won my heart. Please keep up the great work ladies.

Been visiting Kilimanjaro restaurant for years and the food gets better and better every year. This is one place where you get the taste of home made food … the best of snacks and entrees! East African and Indian fusion in some dishes. I just had a family gathering which they catered and everyone was raving about how delicious the food was. They couldn’t believe it was from a restaurant. Their catering for special dishes like muthia, are always above expectations.

Best samosas, amazing flavors and warm friendly customer service. My first visit here and I ordered more than I should but I couldn't get enough of the freshness and flavors. I ordered the platter, ice cream and donuts.. enjoyed every bit and took an order of samosas home. A locally owned, family run gem. See you again soon.

I love this place. They make food the way my grandma used to. I go there if I'm craving home food...which I have no idea how to make. Everything is good but some of my faves are the thepla, chevro, kaadi and kitchri, akni and daar. The lady there is so sweet too. I still have some in my fridge...Chana bateta and kaadi in the photo....I love them because they're tangy...and lighter than some of the classic curries

We used Kilamanjaro Snack house at my place of work to cater a large buffet lunch for about 120 guests. They were able to put together a menu of their best dishes for us and answer any questions we had thoroughly. They supplied the rental of chafing dishes and came and set everything up in a timely manner. Farooq was very friendly, attentive and easy to communicate with. He also made a second trip to our office to provide us with disposable dishes to use to pack up the leftovers so no food went to waste. The food was very delicious, authentic and reasonably priced.

First stop as soon as we landed in Vancouver! The chai quite literally brought me back to life, perfectly spiced with cardamom. The muthia dish was so well made and had a coconut base. The owners made us feel right at home with the perfect nostalgic Ismaili East African + Indian food taste.

If you want home made, high quality food in a cozy environment or to take home then you should try this place! I’m so glad I’ve discovered this place. I was so impressed with the food! Tons of variety of foods and flavours are unbelievable! I’ve been to many African and Indian restaurants, but none of them taste is good as this one! If you’re planning to have a party and want to impress your friends, then I suggest you do catering from this place! These dishes and flavours are so worth to try! Now this is my favourite place!

My friends and I randomly came here. We were not having high expectations. But to be honest, the food was amazing. I loved the chicken akni. Their mixed platter was also great. The chicken samosa was good. The kheer was homemade. I would definitely go back again. There is Street parking in front of the shop. The owner was very friendly and described more about the food as it was our first time trying east African cuisine.

Much more than snacks …., you must come early for their daily specials! Our first time trying this restaurant, super friendly service. Very helpful explanation of the menu and recommendations. We had the chicken coconut curry with rice doughnuts (very creamy and rich and generously portioned), beef with rice and potato, and samosa/kebab/mogu platter. The freshly made paratha like bread was amazing (flaky, moist, layered, and slightly crispy), and the fried coconut bread with cardamon was also so tasty! I had a hard time staying away from carbs. People were constantly picking up take out orders from this popular gem. Specials change daily and are only offered until they run out. I’ll definitely be ordering some catering soon! If you like spicy heat, ask for fresh ground green chilies - a tip from the table next to us.
