Bistro on Notre Dame
Went there a few weeks ago. Discovered this place by chance, we came for dessert a late Saturday. We had an event close by and wanted dessert. The waiter was so nice and explained to us the restaurant concept and how everything is local and indigenous own. The desserts were very good, their menu looked amazing, they have a nice small patio also. I had their Japanese cheesecake and I ordered to go home their bread pudding which was also delicious. My friends orders their licorice cake which at first I was like unsure because I dislike licorice but they gave me a bite and I was amaze at the taste. The iced coffee were also very good. The four of us had a great time that evening.

Bistro on Notre Dame
The experience, hospitality and atmosphere really had my girlfriend and I really feeling at home.We ordered the poutine, lake + steak and chess pie.The hearty potatoes and smokiness from the poutine was definitely a nice change in taste. The flavours from the lake + steak came together very well, and the fresh pie was a great way to round everything off.We would definitely recommend this restaurant to all. It’s refreshing to hear the thoughtfulness of using quality local ingredients.

Bistro on Notre Dame
This quaint little bistro had me feeling all sorts of good little bistro vibes when we dined here. Service was fast, personable and memorable. The food was so terrifically delicious with my chorizo breakfast sandwich was a home run without question. I also really enjoyed the corn chowder as a side paired with a delicious local kombucha. This bistro impressed us greatly!

Ample street parking when we went.It's a quiet relaxed Bistro.Super friendly staff.The food was excellent 5++/5We had the grilled carrots. They were very different then what I've tried before. They were not overly sweet, not mushy and served with some wonderful sauces/purees. It's a wonderful dish that should be tried out.We then had the MB biscuits and gravy. I was a little worried that they would be like southern biscuits and gravy - flabby white gravy on cornbread. This was not the case.MB Biscuits and gravy 5+/5Despite this dish having bacon and chorizo and gravy the dish was not greasy and flabby. Instead it was delicious meaty bits with lots of flavour in a deep rich brown gravy served on slices on bannock. So I really liked it and my fears of southern biscuits and gravy were unfounded.So go try them out it's a cool little restaurant with friendly staff.

Bistro on Notre Dame
Lucky day for a friend and I who googled breakfast near me and up popped Bistro on Notre Dame.Checked the menu fast and decided let's go. Walked into the cutest restaurant in such an unexpected location and we were greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us and explained the menu to us very thoroughly. After deciding what to order, it was a short wait for delicious mouth watering foodMy friend ordered the Western Frittata and I ordered the Chili Crisp Chicken +Waffles. Both we highly recommend based on flavor and portion size.We also ordered the Honey Butter Chips which should be illegal they are so good.The whole experience was fabulous and we will be going back and bringing our friends.We couldn't stop talking about it!!Thanks to the Chef and Rich for making our experience memorable!!Try the Pho if it's on the menu when you go!!

Bistro on Notre Dame
Honestly loved this place! First time going last night and I will be back. The food is delicious and the desserts fantastic! Their special of the evening was the wild flower risotto, either with wild mushrooms or duck, tho i got both. My only disappointment, there wasn't more of it. I also tried the cotton cake with homemade whipped cream, it was the best piece of cake I've had in a long time. The staff were great and Rich was super awesome. We had some great conversation with him and kept the laughs going all evening long. This place is indigenous owned which made my appeal to it that much higher. Can't wait to go back and try their brunch menu! Beautiful Beautiful place!

Bistro on Notre Dame
I recently visited Bistro on Notre Dame and it was an amazing experience. This is the best place to try real Canadian dishes with quality ingredients that are all local from Manitoba. The fresh and locally sourced ingredients add to the quality of the dishes served. You can tell that the restaurant has a focus on being social and environmentally conscious since they actually know where everything comes from. They strongly support the local food producers and use sustainable materials and methods of production to enhance the experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with rustic decor that gave off a cozy and relaxing vibe. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and manager and they were very friendly and provided excellent recommendations, which made the experience even better. The smoked mushrooms and olives were an excellent choice for starters, and the main course was great as well. The Salisbury Steak with elk and bison and Fesenjan with Montreal smoked duck breast were our selections, both were delicious and very tasty. For dessert, the Cotton Cake was really fresh as it has mint, and the tea was a great pairing that was a perfect ending to a great meal. My experience at Bistro on Notre Dame was exceptional, and I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal experience. The use of fresh and locally sourced ingredients, social and environmental responsibility, a welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic staff make this restaurant a must-visit in the city.

Bistro on Notre Dame
I recently visited BoND and have not stopped talking about it to friends and family since. The gentlemen who served us was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. While there is no wrong choice on the menu, he helped my date and I pick a perfect meal and drink pairing. The food was outstanding! We both had to sample each others meals because they looked, smelled and tasted amazing. We finished off our dinner with two desserts that were a great mix of savory and sweet. The cherry on top on this incredible culinarily experience was knowing that everything is sourced locally, making it the perfect spot to support! I’ve already made plans to return with a close friend.

Bistro on Notre Dame
AMAZING!! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place is so incredible that I have to! The restaurant is such a vibe, the staff made us feel right at home, and the food I don’t even have words for. It was so delicious that I woke up smiling after dreaming about it this morning. Every part of the dish was an experience on its own. I can’t wait to go back! If it’s not in your area, it’s worth the trip.
