WELL Health - Hastings Sunrise Medical Clinic

I was very happy up until recently. The upper management have changed the phone reception. Basically you are not able to talk to anyone even if it’s an emergency. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! This is healthcare and there should be some way to be able to follow up with urgent medical needs. They are obviously cutting back on labour costs and don’t care at all about the patients. I will be filing a complaint with Health Canada, my politicians, as well as the College of Physicians

FRUSTRATION!!!!! Best describes my experience with this office. The front desk staff is unwilling to do their job......i am a patient but may only book 12 hours in advance to see my family physician, even though the Doctor has specifically told me to see him in 1 week. The staff will not access the Doctors's calendar & make the appt. They have cancelled an appt. while I was travelling to see the Doctor for a follow up appt. I was on the bus and seriously ill. The receptionist thought that was ok to just cancel.... no offer to reschedule etc. After numerous phone calls, to my pharmacy & to the clinic, They made a special effort for a Doctor to call me . Do not waste your time with this clinic.

Despite my previous rating,, I am giving another 1 rating due to yet another bad experience. Sign says Walk-in Medical Clinic, but paper says must make appointment. I call in to make appointment, was immediately on hold. After 5 minutes, reception picks up, and asks me to hold please. Fine. 5 minutes later, answered. Asked to see a doctor, only family doctors she says. I've been there before, but she says no walk-in doctors available. Previous walk-in doctor now only sees their own patients. Frustrating. Seriously, this place is not so convenient in my neighborhood. Have to go somewhere else.

I have been going to this office for the better part of two years an since the pandemic the quality of care and service as dropped dramatically, the reception is now set up in a way where it is impossible to talk to an actual person, there is no more walk in services even though the pandemic is clearly passed us , the doctors are dismissive and rude when it comes to patient concerns and using medications that might have adverse side affects, I had asked my doctor if taking medications he prescribed would have a negative affect on me, he down played it now a year later I'm 40lbs overweight , I've had shingles on my back that have left scars and when I confronted the doctors about it they brushed me off like it wasn't a big deal. As if we don't have a right to ask questions. They are the picture of irresponsible medical practice. I am currently looking for another family doctor and I would suggest you do the same.

I went to today for my scheduled walk in and while there is a lot of snow today I went anyway since i didn't receive any message about the clinic being closed I went and the clinic was locked. Another patient arrived at the same time for an appointment and we had to go home. when we are late to appointments we get charged, at least send an email or text to all the patients about the status of the clinic even the website said it was open. Also I tried to call 3 hours ahead and not answer :( very disappointed

Audrey is simply the best! Both my friend and I see her at this clinic and often rave about how awesome she is at her job. After years of seeing terrible doctors, it is so refreshing to have a primary care provider who actually listens, cares, and knows what she's talking about.

The doctors here are good and caring. This review is based on their masking policy. Not a care in the world about the anxiety these cause me, or indeed the numerous studies on their effectiveness, don't wear a mask you are demanded to leave the office to stand outside and wait on your doctor. Front desk staff I'm afraid are extremely rude

Why do I place 1 is because they use the term WALK IN but they have NO WALK IN doctor at 2pm apparently YOU need to call in ADVANCE and get an spot for the FUTURE.They make YOU before entering to scan QR and get all your information just to say CALL tomorrow morning in case YOU are LUCKY.Lucky for me pharmacist next door suggest NORTHEAST URGENT CARE 10M walk or 5 driving and while writing this review I AM IN no waiting TIME.

I don't know why this states it opens at 8. Got there at 8 (me and another guy were the first 2 people there). First receptionist arrived at 8:10. I was told that the earliest I could see a doctor was 9 as depends on the day but doctors usually come in around 9."Like
