Still a beautiful place to walk around; however the decision to reduce the menu to only offer afternoon tea $40 (per person) is pretty disappointing. This is despite the website claiming a selection of options, there’s actually no option to just get a sandwich or scone anymore. Asked about a different item on the menu to be told they don’t know why it’s there because it doesn’t exist.Very disappointing experience from what was once a nice restaurant.

Take a step back to the war of 1812.The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of places to walk rest and picnic. My best piece of advice if your paying for parking look at getting a parking pass at Niagara parks website. I buy the annual pass if your going to drive then it's worth it and you don't have to worry about time

Lovely historic house owned by the parks system that serves Afternoon Tea, Champagne Tea and Children’s Tea. Staff are dressed in period costume and teas are available to purchase. Highly recommend reserving in advance. The tea room is a lovely conservatory with wooded views built onto the back of the house. Afternoon Tea consisted of four types of sandwiches, 3 delectably tender scones per person with cream and jam and three miniature desserts per person. You get your choice of teas, served in a press and refreshed with hot water as needed. Servers are delightful and it’s just a fantastic traditional tea experience.

Food is available for takeout again, but seriously overpriced. Egg salad on a croissant was $15 with nothing with it. Tea is served Thursday to Sunday with reservations.

Had stopped by for a break on my ride. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the town of Niagara and it's whereabouts. Would definitely visit again in the future.

We hosted my sister's bridal shower at the McFarland House and can not say enough about the amazing staff, venue and food. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to host a private event or just looking for a delightful afternoon tea experience.

My partner and I wanted to split an Afternoon Tea package and we were told it was against their policy". So we were forced to pay 80+ dollars on a few sandwiches and scones. The whole experience was very uninviting. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a quaint high tea experience."
