The place has good vibes and the sandwiches are indeed delicious but the price range for each slice of sandwich is just disproportional. I’m glad I tried it but I won’t again because of the high prices, would try again if it was a more reasonable price!

$4.50 for literally 1/4 of a sandwich that you can finish in 2-3 bites… very surprised by the pricing. The flavor is alright but does not justify the price. We got the ebi, katsu, and fish, and they all felt stale. Wanted to like this place as it looked cute on Instagram, but will not be returning.

I was excited about this place since my sister and I love the yuzu fruit and Japanese sandos. However, I found their sandwiches to be small, overpriced, and okay tasting. The yuzu panna cotta on the other hand was delicious, but not really worth driving across town for. Was also extremely disappointed about their egg sandos since I was hoping it would be egg salad style, but instead it was a sweet egg patty with some Japanese mayo on top. It wasn’t -bad-, but I find Kanadell’s sandos to be loads better for taste and they offer full sized sandos for almost the same price.Would’ve rated this 2 stars, but gave them 3 stars for the panna cotta.

I should of looked at the reviews before ordering. The food is delicious but the portion size is not worth the price. If you want to try it for the novelty aspect great but if you’re hungry don’t get it.$11 for two quarter sandwiches and a coffee or tea.

5.50 for a 1/4 sammie on white bread? 22$ for a sandwich??? It's was tasty .... but the value is just not there at all. In fact, it's ridiculous. And so much packaging and plastic for a little morsel. Won't return or recommend

Cute little flavourful sandwiches, located inside Shiro Japanese restaurant. They’re snack bites, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a meal, as it isn’t very filling. Definitely very fun and tasty to try, as each sandwich has its own unique flavour pairings. There are some patio seats available on the side of the restaurant as well. Toast was soft overall, and I liked their spicy sauce (you can order this on the side), as it adds extra flavour although it isn’t very spicy in my opinion. Spiciness of everything on their menu is on the mild side.Yuzu kind of tastes like a hybrid between a tart mandarin orange and grapefruit. They do recommend to heat/toast the sandwiches at home, but I tried mines cold on their patio as I didn’t want to leave it in my trunk on a hot sunny day outside. My order:Ebi (Deep Fried Prawn): my favourite one! 2 prawns inside and a yummy sauce (“yuzu pepper tartar sauce”). Prawn was a little soggy as it was pre-packed and ready to go, but the flavours were great.Teriyaki Chicken w/ Mayonnaise: classic one, with juicy and tender chicken. The sauce was quite normal, so I’d recommend trying their other sandwiches if you want something a bit more unique in terms of sauce/flavours. Tastes quite similar to the Ton Katsu one.Agedashi Tofu (Deep Fried Tofu): Comes with mayonnaise and yuzu jam. The tofu is very thick, so the inside does get a little bland as it isn’t marinated. Sauce was interesting/unique though, with the strong yuzu flavour. Probably my least favourite one out of them all.Ton Katsu (Pork Belly): tasted quite similar to the chicken, and had a good meat to toast ratio. Tender and juicy meat. Sauce is yuzu and pepper mayo.Yuzu Panna Cotta: I really enjoyed this! Good portion, and not too sweet. There’s a bit too much yuzu on top, so I ended up scraping away half of it. The panna cotta portion is delicious, and I love the firm gelatin texture, and creamy flavour.

I ordered a breakfast set and found the portion perfect for me. The barley tea is lovely and they included a bag of a treat/dessert made from bread, it was a nice little surprise.

The cutlet sandwich was sold out, so I bought a shrimp and fillet fish sandwich and panna cotta.Panna cotta had a marmalade sauce, but I felt it was a little too much. I wanted to taste more cream part underneath. I was going to eat these sandwiches at beach, but then I noticed that their instruction said “microwave for 10-15 seconds before eat”, so I decided to eat at home. Overall it was very delicious, but to be honest, I feel like the size and price of the sandwich did not match.

Good idea, disappointing execution. We got 1/4 of a sandwich for $4.50 that has been premade, sitting in a display shelf for the day.The bread has been toasted but after sitting out for that long it becomes stale. The fillings are breaded and fried, so you are eating soggy breadcrumbs by the time you get it. The sauce is quite fatty and doesn’t compliment the already fried filling. Flavour is good.A big improvement would be to have it cooked, or at least assembled at the time of ordering.

Pretty dang good little sandwiches. Each one has such distinct and amazing flavor. Got a little variety box of 6 for $15. Would go for this option if you're worried about price, and want to experience different ones. But you never know what you might get in it.
