The animals should be made more available to those wanting to meet them, but they are so sweet! And the staff are lovely

I adopted an amazing cat who came in at 3-4 years old as an unaltered stray (I think he was a barn cat) about 4 months ago and I had a great experience. The people were all really friendly and the general workplace vibe was pretty positive. The adoption process was much smoother than I'd expected. I made it clear in my application that I have a lot of experience with cats and I was approved to adopt my boy the same day.With my kitty coming in as a pretty banged-up unaltered black barn cat (black cats tend to get overlooked at shelters), I really appreciate the SPCA as a whole for seeing the value in him because he's been and will continue to be a truly amazing companion. Given the experience I had I have no reason to adopt from any other agency than the SPCA. The only thing I didn't like was the particularly graphic email titles of injured dogs and cats on the mailing list I signed up for during the adoption process, but that's relatively minor and easily avoided. This is the easiest 5/5 review I've made.

Called about a dog locked in a car in the sun with only one window cracked and air from the car felt very warm. No owner in any nearby business for atleast 10 minutes. Was told this wasn't dangerous to the dog and they would 'mention' it to RCMP if I wanted then hung up on me...was I supposed to sit there until it got warmer and the dog was actually in distress?

I love this place and everything they stand for. I’ve been rescuing stray cats for years. This place has been great.

It was great, dropped off blankets and sheets for them to use. Pleasant man at the counter spoke with us.

I'm a Volunteer here at the Kelowna SPCA and I absolutely love it! It's helped me with my mental well being! I suffer from some minor social anxiety but it just melts away when I'm at the SPCA!! the animal's are lovely and there's always something to help with, but the people are also very kinda and welcoming!!

Had to surrender our pets, these wonderful people made it easy and simple. Thank you for your help and support in making it a smooth transition for our family.

Adoption can be a daunting task. Which animal do you choose? They are all worthy! This place does a great job in making you feel comfortable and they put up with all my indecision. They must have let me into the cats room a dozen times because I couldn't choose. But in the end I got the most adorable cat and I'm very grateful for this place.

As you would expect, these people are amazing! They love animals, and give them all 5 star treatment.
