Beautiful gardens. The Japanese garden is very restful. There is a stream that runs through it making is green and relaxing. The bonsai exhibition is amazing and awesome. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful property of gardens to walk through. We went early in spring, and even though spring was a little late this year, there were still so many beautiful flowers. The gardens really are lovely. There is even a garden of edible flower! Very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend, and will definitely return.

It's worth a visit to see all these gardens, to enjoy the sights and sounds. There are a lot of beautiful birds and so much beauty in the gardens to enjoy! I highly recommend a walk around the HCP Gardens, 5 stars!

Usefully located on the outskirts of Victoria, positioned on a sloping hillside with nice view.A pleasant place, with a wonderful Japanese garden full of spectacular bonsai trees, set in a small valley with a stream and plenty of paths and benches. Other gardens are more functional, with displays of lilies, heathers, vegetables etc.A few days per year with free entry – plant sale days for example, otherwise a $16 entry fee, $12 for pensioners and students.Washroom and Café within the grounds.

What a reliably beautiful place. Every time I tour the gardens I'm impressed by the new projects and still charmed by the established gardens. The Japanese garden and the bonsai walk are always favourites but no section is disappointing. Visit soon to admire all the bees busy at work on the orchard blossoms!

Had such a wonderful afternoon with my wife there. Very reasonable rates to get in. But if you plan on visiting twice look I to a membership. The gardens were awesome and amazing, they had them separated from one another and some of them were very magical. We started on the one side by the Cafe and by the time we went down and all the way back up through the winter garden my wife told me that was it and we had seen everything. I let a chuckle and suggested we take a few minute rest.We were not even half way through but she couldn't see the other side yet.So many styles of gardens all meticulous. I think my fave for any time of the year was the bonsai-Japanese garden but my fave for the spring is the rhododendron garden all I full colour bloom. I also very much enjoyed the ethno trail that taught us about the plants used by our first people's on the land and what they used them for.I think if you visited every month or so you might see a different garden as blooms open up and die off. Definitely will visit again when were are in town with the time.Don't forget that they also sell quite a few of the plants you will see in the gardens. It was hard to walk out of there for under $100 they had such great plants. Lol

Fabulous Victoria treasure. The Gardens are small in area so great for anyone who doesn't want to walk far. The variety of plants and of discrete garden areas is astounding. Most plants are labelled, which is great. It is meticulously maintained. And you can buy plants to take home! Well worth visiting in different seasons. Consider an annual pass, which is a really good deal.
