I was a makeup artist who seriously needed help in the hair department. I took the 5 day Bridal Hair course last year with LeSonne Academy and I am so happy I did! The atmosphere of Ruchikas Salon is very friendly and happy. It motivates for beautiful creations. Ruchika was great at answering all my questions right away. She puts all efforts to ensure that her students understand the program and gain all required skills. Although the program is intense and we did learn a lot, it still felt like fun and I never noticed how much time would pass. Ruchika/ LeSonne Academy gave me the confidence to create beautiful hairstyles that was hard to believe I could ever do. Amazing experience!

Ruchika is not only a great instructor but also such an amazing role model. She is very passionate about teaching her students and I have learned so many new techniques on how to do bridal hair that I never knew about before. Ruchika individually helped each one of us grow our talent at creating hairstyles and I appreciate her so much for that! Going into this class I was both nervous and scared. I came out feeling confident and ready to put my learning to practice. I’ve always loved doing hair but never taken any formal training. Taking this class has assured me that I can do this! Ruchika, is a very talented and patient teacher, she really took her time with me and answered all my questions as they come up. When I couldn’t get a technique, she worked with me one on one and showed me different ways to master it. I learned how to use the tools properly and the steps to do many different styles and was super excited to go home and practice them. Hospitality was out of this world, we were spoiled over the duration of course, with breakfast, lunch and yummy treats everyday! Thank you, Ruchika and family for being such humble beings, you have a positive outlook and that’s what I loved about you. When I made the decision to join Lesonne Academy, it was both nerve wracking to be in the presence of such a talented artist and exciting to be able to learn from someone whose work I admire. I have always loved all things beauty related since I can remember. Growing up with a mother who owned her own business as an aesthetician and who loved all things beauty herself, it inspired me growing up. At a young age, I was always getting myself into trouble by getting into my mom/older sisters makeup and even getting to go to the salon quite often to get my hair done with them. I remember feeling like the beauty that was created on the outside was just a reflection of the beauty I have on the inside and the makeup/hair I got done only really enhanced my own natural beauty. Upon meeting Ruchika in-person early 2018, I was so happy to meet someone who had a similar outlook. What she does is enhance her clients own beauty with skillful techniques that she's mastered over her many years in the industry and this made me fall in love with her work.It was just late 2017 when I decided to take my passion to the next level and turn my hobby into a business. I was no where ready (I don't think you're ever ready to be honest), but sitting at my full time job in a mental health hospital dreaming of beauty all day brought me there and I took the leap. I started ReeNu Your Look and it was makeup/hair artists like Ruchika who inspired me. I was getting more and more confident in my makeup skills, but I still had a long way to go. With hair, I never got to practice much and I quite frankly didn't know where to begin. That's when Ruchika came in. One day at work, I saw on Instagram that she was going to do two hair courses: 1. Hair Mastery Basic (2 Day Course) 2. Hair Mastery Intermediate (3 Day Course). I messaged her that same instant and before I knew it there I was, in Ruchika's studio. I got the opportunity to do both classes with her and boy am I glad I did! I love how she's so creative and, although there's structure to her program, she let that creativity flow while working with hair. She taught us the techniques necessary to do the many styles taught, but she let us express ourselves and show our personality in our work (just like she does). I did hairstyles I never imagined I could do! A part from actually learning how to do hair, we got to learn business techniques, more about each other, and more about ourselves. I would not be where I am today without the help and guidance Ruchika has provided and I'm constantly recommending this course to anyone who's interested. You can start at any level! Ruchika is amazing at working with each student no matter what level they are. She's hands-on, attentive, knowledgeable, and overall a beautiful soul to be around. If you want to take your skills to the next level or even just learn the beginning steps of hair design, Ruchika is the one! For what you learn, the confidence you gain, the products provided to you, the quality of breakfast/lunch each day, and the positive vibes you leave with - it's worth every penny! I would do it all over again if I could.

I had the great pleasure of working alongside Ruchika, in the five days intensive Bridal Hair Mastery course in Lesonne Academy. I had gone into the course with absolutely no previous knowledge or experience with hair, a beginner of the craft. With confidence, I can say that I had a great experience with the program, and would recommend it for anyone who is looking to learn and master hair for personal or professional reasons. This course is taught personally by Ruchika herself. All I can say is she definitely lives up to the reputation of giving each client her absolute best work. In this course, Ruchika doesn’t simply teach you generic styles but also teaches you the tools, and steps to build and design your own styles for any trend. Believe it or not, but the course took place with the minimal use of hair products (which was quite the shock for me). The class is taught styles that are neat, complex, and with a variety of hair types that challenge you.  I went into this program without realizing what I was getting myself into, however, it was definitely memorable. Throughout the course, Ruchika shares her experiences assists with weaknesses and encourages questions. The class is typically very small, where any student can feel comfortable asking questions to Ruchika directly, in one on one conversations. She does not hold back at all and answers all types of questions, even if it is trivial. I can say with certainty that Ruchika's honesty and constructive criticism will definitely help you reach the next level in mastering hair. The course is certainly intense and a lot of information is given, so it does need to be taken seriously. From the fundamental training to the advanced each step will become important in mastering hair. It is definitely a practice-based program, where the two evaluations serve as a reminder to all students to continue practicing and honing their skills. It pushes you to improve, develop, and perfect your skills. Although I can understand the concern of pricing, the reality is whether you are a novice or advanced, every person who goes into this class will surely see development or some sort of improvement in their skills. The only thing that you personally would need to bring would be a curling wand (at times), and a straightener. The course will provide with the rest of the equipment required to do any style from human hair extensions to the hair spray. The class is broken down into lessons in which Ruchika teaches, and practice time where students can have training and mentoring. She even goes out of her way to ensure every student grasps the technique, even looking to improve and alter her teaching method to suit the needs of her students. At the end of the program, she even sets up a professional photo shoot for the students that passed, that will showcase the skills that you have learned. Walking away from this experience I am aware of my weaknesses, growth, and areas of strength. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to have learned from her directly and to have taken the course. I encourage many others to take the chance and participate in this course you surely won’t regret it.

I already knew Ruchika is one of the most talented in the industry. Now I know that she is also a fantastic teacher, a warm host and a gem of a human being.Ruchika has incredible patience for all her students. She will repeatedly demonstrate a concept if you need more instruction. She creates an open, comfortable environment where you can ask any questions without fear. And she's very open to showing you exactly how she works so you're not left wondering if there's some secret step you've missed or some product you should be using.Leaving her class, I feel armed with knowledge and the base skills needed to improve my own work. What she teaches you is the foundation; once you've mastered this, you can start adding in your own creativity.Thank you Ruchika (& family) for being so warm and welcoming, and for a great class!

I took the academy's 5 day hair course and I thoroughly loved the experience of the hair courses with Ruchika. She passed down a lot of knowledge and shared all her expert tips and experiences with us through the duration of the course. When I took the course there were only 5 of us so we did get one on one time with her to ask questions we had or if we needed help with particular areas which we were individually struggling with. I do think it takes personal dedication as well to practise and perfect everything you're taught in order to really benefit from the course. Ruchika is very honest with your progress in a constructive way which will better you.What I also loved was the fact that she provided to portfolio photoshoot for students that passed. Once again, she walked all the students through the process of what to expect from the photoshoot before hand and during the photoshoot she guided us as to how to get the best possible shot of our models.I do think that the class was fairly pricey, but in retrospect I think in the long term it has helped out a lot if you truly are someone that wants this as it has greatly benefited myself. Ruchika does provide you with human clip-on extensions for you to practise on and keep as your own, as well as some other supplies such as brushes, pins, etc. I think that the portfolio photoshoot is another chunk of money in itself that is worth it, considering you don't have to deal with the headache of vendors and Ruchika takes care of everything. You really just need to show up with your model and display your skills!. I've gotten many work experiences now thanks to the course and I think it does pay off in the end.

First and foremost Ruchika and her family are just phenomenal people. Words truly cannot describe how grateful I am to have gotten to learn from this amazing soul. This Class has taught me so much. It has really changed the way I think and the way I do hair. Ruchika is so patient and really cares about the students. She does not hold back & answers all the questions. One thing I really appreciated is that if you can't seem to grasp a technique, she really takes the time to think about how she can alter the technique for you to understand the concept in your way. She does not teach you just a few styles, she teaches you the basic foundation for you to get creative so that you can create any style.
