No frills' biggest draw is their prices but it's honestly just as expensive as other stores now with less selection and the basic presentation were used to.

We travel to Peterborough for our large grocery purchases and one stop is No Frills. This location is large and has a big assortment of items. I find that like all stores owned by Loblaws, their meat department items can be pricey. They have a large produce section. No Frills is known for low advertised deals on food. The store is usually very busy and full of people making it somewhat frustrating to get around. Our last trip in was on a Thursday evening and the staff were restocking the shelves. My wife is no stranger to this since she works at a Loblaws store. Generally speaking, the staff are instructed to keep an avenue open for customers to get up and down the aisles, eliminate trip hazards and if a customer asks you to move for a moment to reach an item, you do so. On this night, none of those things happened. We arrived at the pasta aisle and there were three young men working in the last half of the aisle. They had three carts full of products to put on the shelves parked on the far right, they had a large metal safety step ladder on the left which completely blocked the aisle. They had boxes scattered all over. One customer on the far side of the aisle tried to reach in to grab an item off the shelf by the step ladder and the staff made no attempt to help him, get out of his way or stop working on the step ladder above his head. I thought I could reach in as well, so I asked one worker if he could move just a bit so I could reach in and he didn't even flinch. I looked at him for a moment and realized he had ear buds in and couldn't hear me. According to my wife, at Loblaws wearing ear buds on the floor is grounds for dismissal. We waited for a few minutes to see if these workers would clear the aisle for customers and they didn't. We watched person after person get denied to this aisle. Frustrated, I went to the next aisle and it was much of the same, however the workers here had left just enough room to get through with a cart. They still had items strewn all over to trip on. I skipped that aisle and went to the next aisle and more of the same. By this time I was pretty mad and frustrated so I just skipped most of my shopping list and went to check out. I looked in on the pasta aisle and nothing had changed in that entire time; it was still blocked, was a trip hazard and people were still not allowed up it. I wish I had taken a picture of it all. Since my wife works for a Loblaws store, I'm sure we could have put those pictures in the hands of a district manager. I told the checkout person about it and he said he would tell the manager, but I felt that it probably wouldn't happen. I have the bill and plan to fill out the satisfaction survey.

Always friendly staff, the owners are amazing. Always get great deals and great prices. I like to think of it as my grocery store. They go above and beyond for there customers ❤️

Very clean and organized store, all the shelves were fully stocked. I did notice that many of the freezer bins were empty but there was no lack of meat and seafood for sale.

Good place for grocery shopping. Overall fair prices and decent selection.

Great shopping trip! There were a lot of items on sale that were on my list. I was able to stock up and not break the bank. Staff were helpful and friendly. Found the entrance a bit crowded with the way items were stacked but still maneuverable

I like the store itself, but I'm disappointed with the consistent lack of customer service from students at the cash. Some eye contact, a smile and a hello would be nice.

The staff could be better. The young students working there aren't very personable, little to no eye contact. The produce was well picked over. Maybe it was the time of day? 5pm.

Very clean and will demarcated aisles. Produce fresh and nicely laid out. Inviting. Lots of choice. Friendly staff.
