Jon Baird - Retired - SEMP Consulting Inc. | LinkedIn | Jon contributed to the success of Scintrex Limited from his graduation as a geophysicist from the University of Toronto in 1964. He left Scintrex in 1993 and joined the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services (CAMESE) as Managing Director, retiring from there in 2014.

During these years he served on the boards of the Canadian Mining Innovation Council (CMIC), the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame (CMHF), rising to Chair the latter two boards.

After that 50 year career on the service and equipment side of the international mining industry, Jon continued to help small- and medium-sized industrial companies with market-oriented, strategic planning designed to sharpen business practices, diversify client bases and stimulate growth.
