Good SPA experience in Montreal.I have been to multiple places and this is BY FAR the best.Reasons: Open area with great lake view and beautiful nature. Staff is welcoming. The saunas are on point.Never tried the message yet, but willing to.Been here at least a dozen times.Highly recommended to go with your friends or your loved one to relax and have good experience. However! It will get highly crowded during the day, so try to avoid going past noon as it will be packed, especially on holidays. It will be so packed that you will more feel uncomfortable than relaxed. And food quite pricey for small portions as well. Paid 60$ for 2 small dishes and a drink.Free parking available.

Second time been here and first time trying restaurant.Highly recommend the lychee dessert! The crisps on the top are sweet which are optional if you don't like sweetness. The jelly and jam are perfectly matched giving fresh taste.Recommend salmon appetizer.Main dish Mushrooms are good but the bread tastes like have been smoked.

I had a really relaxing and enjoyable day at the spa with my SO. We got massages, did the thermal experience, and ate lunch there. The locker rooms and showers are very clean.I gave it 4 stars though because the pools could be skimmed more throughout the day. Some of the walkways under the trees had a lot of bird poo too that could’ve been cleaned more often.

The facilities are nice albeit a bit outdated. Some of the outdoor pools probably need a bit of love and a serious upgrade. I can see how the place would not be enjoyable if crowded. I was there on a gray morning mid week and it was quite nice. The restaurant was nice. The young staff team worked extremely hard to manage this place and delivered exceptional service. Dishes were good but the desert (crumble) disappointed.

I have visited Strom spa Ile-des-Soeurs twice this fall, and also visited the Mont St Hilaire location previously. Both times I went on a Friday so I cannot speak to how busy/noisy it may be on a weekend.TLDR: I think this is a really nice spa for a day of relaxation if you're in the Montreal area and would recommend it.Facilities/setup: Excellent. The spa was very well designed to make you feel like you're in a relaxing nature getaway despite that it is in a suburban residential area. There were a good number of hot pools, different saunas, and nice indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. We did 6 or 7 cycles throughout the day with different combinations and never got bored (both visits). These areas all had a clean and newish feel. Our only complaint was that the women's locker room was small and crowded. It was hard to do anything without bumping into someone else or being hit by a door, and the days we went were not that busy or anything. But the space is what it is, so probably not much they can do about this and at least the locker rooms were clean!!Offerings: The pools and saunas are clean and kept at good temperatures. The second time we went, the steam sauna was being renovated and they gave us 10% off because of this which I thought was fair. They have one silent pool where they will come tell you to shut up if you talk which also seems fair since there is another hot tub you can sit in and talk quietly. The outdoor and indoor relaxation areas have a good variety and I like the fires. There are NOT enough blankets and they should invest in more especially for the fall as anyone sitting outside or in a hammock would want a blanket, and it's nice to sit and look at the water.Robes: I am pretty sure you are not allowed to wear your own robe and must rent theirs or buy one. The first time we went, the robes we got were awful. Ratty and thin, dirty-looking (not actually dirty but like gray from overwashing), and gross. The second time, we got decent fluffier robes - they were not new or anything but totally reasonable for a spa robe rental. It might be nice to just let people use their own robes but at least change them over often if not.Atmosphere: Very pleasant and calm. My main point of comparison is Le Nordik in Gatineau area outside Ottawa which I've been to many times and has become the party spa. Everyone loud and talking and often rude, locker rooms gross, etc. At the Strom spa it mostly seemed to be people taking a relaxation day rather than big loud groups, probably because it's kind of small and not the only spa in the area. The staff and other guests were respectful of the quiet rules and gave it a good vibe.Food: Unfortunately the food is really expensive and underwhelming, though I find this to be true at every spa of this sort that I've visited so it is what it is. The first time we had a charcuterie plate which was fine, and soup (as good as what you'd get at Tim Hortons, so fine) with artisanal bread" which was like a grilled hard bun. The dessert was supposed to be a rhubarb crumble but was mostly this weird foamy cream dumped on a pile of what seemed to be canned rhubarb. The second time we each had a grilled cheese sandwich with soup because we figured maybe they'd do better with something simple. The soup was fine again and sandwich was ok too

This was a beautiful oasis of peace! I have been to thermal spas in Europe, but the Strom hits a whole new level. My daughter and I came for a massage and to enjoy the thermal experience. The facility has multiple pools and saunas of varying temperatures throughout the grounds to give peace and plenty of space. There are also Adirondacks, hammocks, and lawn chairs to relax in. I wish we had planned time for a meal in the restaurant. Next time…

I recently visited this spa with high hopes for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, but I left feeling incredibly disappointed. I feel it is my responsibility to warn others about my negative encounter.First and foremost, I was astounded by the lack of basic amenities provided. I have visited numerous spas in the past, and it is unheard of for a spa not to offer patrons a robe to wear or a dedicated space to relax and enjoy tea or cold water. This omission immediately gave me the impression that the establishment did not prioritize the comfort and satisfaction of its guests. Moreover, the entry point to the spa resembled a dentist waiting room, lacking any semblance of charm or tranquility. The floor was disgustingly filthy, which was a significant turn-off right from the start. It's disheartening to think that a spa, a place meant for relaxation, couldn't maintain a clean and inviting environment. To add insult to injury, the tent where I had to change and receive my massage had a grimy wooden floor. Since it was raining, the floor was wet, leaving my socks soaked and uncomfortable. It's unacceptable for a spa to have such unsanitary conditions, especially in the area where customers are supposed to unwind and experience relaxation.Furthermore, the parking situation was nothing short of ridiculous. Requiring guests to park down the street from the spa is an inconvenience that only added to my frustration. It made me question the level of professionalism and customer care the establishment possesses. The most awkward part of my visit was when I had to leave immediately after the massage. I was left with the oils still on my skin, and there was no proper area or assistance provided to freshen up or change in privacy. Being forced to redress in the damp and uncomfortable tent was an incredibly uncomfortable experience that added to my overall dissatisfaction. In summary, I strongly advise against wasting your time and money on this spa. From the lack of basic amenities to the unclean and uninviting conditions, it is clear that this establishment falls significantly short of providing a satisfactory spa experience. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other options that genuinely prioritize your comfort and well-being.
