I often stop here on a hot day. It's got shade, places to sit, a poster kiosk and a water fountain.

Always a great place to stop and enjoy the world moving around you. A central place with a water fountain, community space to post adverts, and just to relax.

It's your standard pedestrian walkway however of course it does mingle a bit with traffic in the area next to the old folks home so be careful traversing the full length. The area is pleasant and gives off a little slice of heaven" vibe. Here you can sit and zone out enjoying the ambience. It is a good place to stop and catch a breath. In a fast paced city like this. Areas like this one become a necessity rather than a creature comfort. There are cafes and shops along the area closer to Robson street with rental bikes to grab incase you need one. There's always a friendly person willing to have a chat. Just be careful because they will talk your ear off

Saturday I walked from Nelson Park where an interesting Farmers Market was being held along Comox Street and strolled down Bute Street to Robson Street and I stopped in the Bute Street Walkway, which allowed only pedestrians and bikes..I sat on a bench and enjoyed the water feature and then proceeded to Robson and pasted through a a very busy cafe area where people were totally enjoying the day..

It's a walkway. Some nice greenery, and a fountain that doesn't seem to get used anymore. There's a poster board on the northern side, and a garbage can.
