White Oaks Apartments

This place is pretty awful. It's a roof over my head and it's close to school but it's dirty and unsafe. The cabinets are rotting, the wood floor is coming undone, outlets are uncovered with wires sticking out. No matter how much you clean, the floors will always look dirty. There is mold in the ceiling of the bathroom. The windows are old, badly insulated and won't close properly, which drives the heating bill through the roof. The counter in the washroom is falling apart. Light fixtures are rusted. There is damage (it looks caved in) to the walls that was not fixed prior to my move in date. The paint job is awful. It's peeling and there's some paint on the ceiling. Definitely looks like a sloppy job. Management isn't very helpful. My roommates and I have tried to get these issues fixed but they blow us off everytime. The property manager doesn't listen she just wants you out of her office asap. They are consistently increasing the rent too. They also won't let us throw out our garbage. They only let us throw out small bags. But even if we want to bring down larger items, we've been told we cant. They've told us to bring our bigger items to the dump. All our larger trash is on our balcony until we can hire some moving guys since we have no means of getting it to the dump. We've also talked about possible rodents in the vents to the property manager. When it's quiet you can hear little feet running around. I can't be sure they're rodents but there's something in the vents that makes alot of noise. One of the elevators is always broken too. People get stuck inside pretty often. You're lucky if the door just won't close or open. That leaves one elevator to serve everyone in a 19 floor building so it takes forever to actually get onto that elevator. This place is the bare minimum with a high-end price. But it definitely is not worth it. If it wasn't close to Sheridan college, I wouldn't be here.

Everything people are talking about in the reviews is true. The staff in the main office will try harder to not attend to simple requests like fixing dangerous exposed electrical outlets than to actually do it.Can anyone actually understand what Grace says? I feel like she will scream talk at you quickly to confuse you further and get you out of the office faster instead of helping you out. They lose relevant documents all the time.I'm giving this place a two and not a one because it's been a good roof over my head while I was a student. But man, it sure needs a change of management. Get ready to never have anything repaired for you while you live here. I'll literally walk into the main office for help, and they will all just be chatting and having a good time instead of working. Truly classic.

Beware - they will tow your car even if you shop there!!They towed my car even though I purchased food from Burger King! I am (was) a regular customer of Rabba's and Gino's!Not a good way to attract customers to the plaza.I will be seeking full reimbursement for the ridiculous $401.15 the scum towing company charged me with consent of property management!!I will never shop at this plaza AGAIN!!!Robert.

These guys have pulled some really scummy tactics to squeeze the most possible rent out of their tenants.They raised our rent by what should have been an illegal amount, but apparently they jumped through a bunch of legal loopholes to do it, including holding a hearing in court which we were invited to attend.Of course, the hearing went their way, and then not only did they raise our rent, they charged us RETROACTIVE RENT, a lump sum of over $400, so they could get the money they would've gotten if they'd raised our rent 8 months ago.

This is a horrible place to live with unprofessional, uncaring staff. The buildings are infested with ants, cockroaches and other bugs. There is infact mold! Some apartments are more rundown than others. My apartment had a lot of safety hazards (uncovered electrical outlets) and parts in disrepair (back door that does not close) which I insisted they repair, but they haven’t. The secretary takes advantage of students and will talk over you, yell at you and almost scammed me. When my roommates and I first moved in, she tried to force us to deal with repairing and repainting our new apartment that the previous tenants left us, even though in the terms and conditions it specifies that they are in charge of doing that. She refused to do what was written IN A LEGAL DOCUMENT. This same secretary will forget about/ lose documents that you give her and will try to overcharge you on things like parking or rent!!! They raised the rent over the maximum rent increase rate (charging us an extra $70 a month) and I see that NOTHING has been improved. They updated a few out of date fire escape route maps and repainted the halls— whoopety doo. Overall, if you’re planning to stay here long term— IT IS NOT WORTH IT. If you’re a student: good luck....

The building needs repair and they have a ant and cockroach problem that's been going on for months that they haven't properly taken care of.

My grandma lives here. I love her so much.

Excellent building. Very quiet and the amenities are many.

We have lived in this building for almost three years. Awesome management to the maintenance people - everyone is so friendly and great to deal with.

I did an application in this place that my brother in law lives there and sent to them all my references and documents and my credit is very high and my job is very good profitable and they didn't accept my application just because I have six kids I am living in an apartment in Edmonton in two bedrooms , we are living well because we are a solid family and my kids are very organized, and there the rooms are three but the price double but is not a trouble for me but they dont like many kids ,shame on them,I have seen this apartments and if they are scared that the people destroy them don't have to be worried because they are not good enough, an for myself I left the places where I lived better tha I found them is my work I fix houses. They are so racist
