I would highly recommend this mechanic! I brought my old 1981 dodge campervan in for inspection and Jay was diligent, kind and honest about repairs - letting me know his recommendations but putting no pressure on me whatsoever. Their availability and efficiency is great as well as their pricing. Admin staff Andrea is knowledgeable and kind. Great place.

Jay's was recommended to us by a friend, and since then we have recommended this shop to all our friends and family. Jay and Andrea won't try to sell you more than what is required for your vehicle (unlike other shops I've been to). They will talk you through what your car needs and clearly explain what it means. If you're looking for a mechanic that you can TRUST, who will provide a reliable, HONEST perspective and expertise, then this place is for you.

This place is my new mechanic shop going forward. They are skilled, friendly (front desk reception lady) honest and fixed my vehicle air conditioning at way less cost than I had expected - heater back in order!Finding a good mechanic ranks higher for me than finding a good dentist or doctor. Those guys are all the same anyway.

We've been taking our vehicles to Jay's (previously Coldwell) automotive for at least 20yrs, so that should tell you something about what we think about this mechanic shop. During that time there's been three different owner/operators, each one has been equally honest and competent. Their work is good and the prices are fair.

I was referred to jay by a friend. I brought my old Chevy pickup that I rebuilt myself here when I ran into a vacuum issue that I didn’t have time to readdress. Jay was very helpful. We spoke of the work I had done. Diagnostics performed. And he fixed up a mistake I had made. He did fantastic work. And at a very reasonable rate. As well his front desk was very helpful in the process. I even offered to pay more as I knew the job was not a particularly enjoyable one. This is an honest shop. Ran by an honest guy with a passion for his trade that shines through when speaking to him. I would happily refer this shop to anyone. And how friendly he was with a part time tech who needed some full time professional help. Says a lot about him. And the shop owner still pulls wrench. Huge thank you guys for the helping hand.

Really extremely impressed with this shop. Went in for what I expected to be a very expensive brake job. They took a look and were honest enough to tell me I didn't need what I thought I needed. In the end I got the service and maintenance I needed, plus an oil change that I wasn't originally going to get, at a fraction of the cost I was expecting to spend (literally 1/5 of what I expected to spend). I would absolutely recommend Jay's to anybody looking for a good mechanic, and I will definitely be going back for all my future needs. Thank you, Jay!!!! :)

A friend's daughter's car decided that it was going to refuse to move. We had it towed to Jay's who, despite not having an appointment, realised the situation was a bit desperate as we were from out of town and went to work. The car was fixed and the price was very reasonable. What they were doing was communicated clearly and regularly over the course of 2 days.I cannot recommend this shop enough. If only all auto places were so principled, honest, and willing to help in an emergency.
