I am so glad that I went here. This is a fantastic restraunt with an authentic feel. I had a mezcal flight and enjoyed every sip. Every course they took out was delicious and the timing was impeccable. Just when I was finished with one thing it seemed the next tapas came out of the kitchen. The food always arrived hot. This place is worth it to go and explore.

This was well worth the drive from our campground south of Chemainus! The owners are super friendly and take the time to chat with you if you would like.We came here with friends and we were so glad we did! The staff was all super friendly, the food was very flavourful and we like the Tapas style so that you could try a whole bunch of different items.The meatballs, mushrooms, shrimp plus so much more are all worth trying! It is not a very large place so make sure you reserve or plan to potentially wait for a table.They have a wonderful large patio deck outback for those warm summer months!

We went to Maya Norte for the first time tonight. The service was fabulous (thank you Sabrina) and the food was delicious. In fact, the Pan-seared scallops with anchovy butter were the BEST I have eaten and they have probably ruined us for any other scallops, they were so flavourful and tender. We also shared the Roasted tomato, wilted spinach and queso fresca, Fried goat cheese with onion confit, and the Brussel sprouts with lemon aioli. Everything was delectable and the service second to none. The Paloma was was well made! Please open up another restaurant in Victoria.

Wow... just wow. Incredible meal here tonight. An absolute gem in sleepy Ladysmith!! The Mexican/Spanish fusion menu is like a greatest hits collection. We struggled to choose as everything sounded amazing. Every dish was fantastic.The Tequila selection is impressive... this is where you bring your friends that don't like Tequila... show them the good stuff and they will finally get it!!Our server, Marisol, was so helpful and delivered a wonderful experience.This one will be a regular stop! Don't miss it!

Food was good, nothing special. Prices are high for very small portions. It is a tapas place but I’d expect more memorable food or better portions for the price point. Back patio is excellent and great service.

One of the best meals I’ve had on Vancouver Island. Creative and flavourful food, served by kind and courteous staff, in an adorable location.We loved all of our food, and the staff made us feel right at home.A Mezcal flight for $16, too! Such a deal!That back patio is dreamy too, with banana plants and umbrellas. Felt like a little piece of México in Ladysmith.Can’t wait to come back!

I had a great afternoon experience in their back garden patio. The tapas are just so delicious and the staff are great. This is one of my favorite restaurants and we go out of our way to visit it. Be sure to visit on a warm summer evening to get the best out of their garden experience.

A unique change from the local offerings that is hip and fun with a trendy and energetic atmosphere.We had seen some recent discussion on Maya Norte and decided this past Friday we would finally check it out. I loved the decor, the openness, the upbeat music and of course great food and great service.We tried the tomato toast, lime tequila prawns and corn chorizo cheese fritters . Make sure to get the baguette side to soak up all the sauces from your meal too !Our service was polite and friendly as well helped with our decisions. This was our first visit and not our last as I guess they have live music every Thursday. A perfect reason to come back.
