Awesome service and food. The owner was super friendly. We had two dinners here for our three nights in Ottawa. Highly recommend, well deserve the 4.9 rating.

Iskender Kebab House Turkish Cuisine
We found ourselves in the neighbourhood around dinner time. I was a little hesitant about this place because the reviews were either 5 stars (most of them) or very low. But I’m happy we discovered this place. Pictured are 1.5 portions of Iskender and 1.5 Adana. Both were delicious. These are very large portions of meat, plus salad, rice, pide (pita bread), and/or yoghurt on the side. Sure, it’s not as cheap as the drive-through McDonald’s or whatnot nearby, but you get a decent—and authentic—dinner here, and with great service. Also, about half of the clientele we saw were actually from Turkey, always a good sign for an ethnic eatery. I’ll add my review to the 5-star camp because it’s a very good offering of Turkish food in Ottawa.

I ordered a chicken fattoush plate. I was surprised that there was no humus or garlic or pickles or anything. Just the salad and some chicken. Sad to say I was disappointed. The chicken was very dry and must have been left aside for some time. I would recommend another place if you are looking for a chicken plate meal that will satisfy. Very disappointed.

Good spot for quick eats. Ordered the pure beef steak donair on a salad with the Turkish yogurt and all the sauces and everything was tasty.Their pickles and pickled turnip were very good.Highly recommend for a quick bite.

Loved this new place, came here specifically for the Iskander Kebab and were left very satisfied.We also got Adana kebab and it was really good. If you want authentic Turkish food this is one of the very few good places in Ottawa.

The staff at the venue were calm and clean, but the four sandwiches they made for me were terrible. The kebab was dry, the bread was stale, and the fries were both overcooked and undercooked. The most disappointing part was that I had to pay $58 for this awful food...I dont try the other food so good luck

Gotta be honest. I really wanted to love this place. But this is not genuine Turkish doner guys. This is too dry, too burnt and too thick. Real doner is thin, juicy and definitely not cancerously burnt. Iskender is ridiculously overpriced, too. I would have a fine dining with this instead. Again I went there with high hopes but just disappointed and frustrated.
