Thunder Pet

Looking for a product for my dogs arthritis, I young employee was helping me, and I was amazed that she knew about about all of the great products that they have. Very pleased with the service!! I will definitely returning to this store.

I love supporting local business. Sadly, I had a difficult run in at this place. I purchased 5 fish for my new aquarium. Lady was super helpful, picking the fish, etc. I brought my fish home. Once my fish got in the aquarium, one of them was clearly injured. Fin was broken off, and it floated on the top, while the other fish schooled together near the bottom. The next day it was dead. So I called, lady, again, very nice. She said she would get the manager to call me about a replacement fish. These fish were only 3$, so she said it wouldn’t be a problem. I never got the call back. So I went into the store and spoke with the staff person. She told me that “we don’t give freebies”, which seemed very rude, considering I had explained the situation, and that I had called. She consulted one of her coworkers, who said to just give it to me. I went on to purchase 2 additional fish. She complained about getting the fish the entire time. I had asked her about the need for a heater in my aquarium, and she told me that I’d need one unless I wanted them to die. She then made a snarky remark that I probably wanted my fish to die. Quite the frustrating experience. I hate to leave a bad review to a local business. Would love to be able to speak to that manager, as I truly would like to support them.

Stole my pet!!! We got are bunny peter from a nice woman who was giving him away due to her being unable to take care of him. We had him for a month or so and then he started leaning his head to the side. Which is a sign of infection. We weren't sure what to do exactly so we contacted the person who gave it to us. She said we could return him to thunder pet for treatment. We decided that was a great idea and brought him in. We talked to them and asked when we would be getting peter back and they said they didnt know yet because they had to see how he would take the treatment but they took are information and told us theyd contact us as soon as they had any news. Well todays about a month later and no contact so we called and spoke to the manager and she explained that we can't have peter back they gave him to someone else. If you can imagine someone stealing your pet don't give these people your money

Oh man I love the staff at the red river road location. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and best of all you can tell they all truly love the critters they tend to in store and the ones who come visit. Thanks for making shopping local so pleasant!

I appreciate they carry Canadian brands like Crumps, Canadian Naturals, and Thrive fish oil.

Beware! Beware!Purchased 3 clown loaches and 3 tiger barbs. Within in 2 days my tank was full of ick.I lost half of my fish. Spoke to the owner and he offered no solutions even after he admitted his tanks had ick.He was unhelpful! He said you need to shop some where else. Wow!Ps the clown loaches were twice asexpensive as pet smart.

Missing our favourite staff member, Max! Super knowledgeable and friendly. He was the other 4 stars!

The people who work here are super kind and it seems like they all just love animals! They have a wide selection and are very knowledgeable or a large variety of dog or pet related items. And they actually stick the ground and whole chickens backs that I needed in order to feed my dog a raw food diet. This place is wonderful!

Had quite the list of items for a beard lizard that requires food/heat lamp and bulbs.

Good quality pet food. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
