CIBC Branch with ATM

Says open at 9:30 but I walked in 5minutes to ten with 9 other people waiting. Should be more prepared as a big bank. Wouldn’t even answer the phone when someone was there. Could of saved me a trip.

Just rude

You have the right to cash your Government of Canada cheque at any bank for free, even if you’re not a customer. Refused to cash check cause they couldn't make money. When did banks start making there own laws xharging ppl who are already so poor they live off of governments checks of bare minimum. Dispicable

Bad experience. Teller engaged in small talk with client for 5 minutes while I waited with my infant. Very unprofessional.

If I could give 0 stars I would, do not bank here. Go ANYWHERE else.Over the past 2 years, this bank has given us nothing but headaches.1. When the house was initially mortgaged, there was an agreement to have the installation of a new septic system added to the mortgage balance. Well a year later when we actually go through with the work, we get a check that doesn't even cover the amount they confirmed we would be getting since there were fees that had never been mentioned.Okay, not the end of the world but I'm not impressed. That's money that should have been payed off over the next 25 years, not in an immediate payment.2. Following a separation, the mortgage was taken over in full. It took the bank over a YEAR to finalize the paperwork for the transfer or ownership, and this has resulted in a second payment of welcome taxes" for our property which we cannot avoid paying due to the banks lack of timeliness.3. I have been banking with CIBC for over 20 years and recently moved to the Gatineau region. I needed to move some RRSP money and I have had a terrible experience with the service i’ve received. I was first told I could not move the money from Sunlife to CIBC by the person at CIBC, which was untrue. I basically had to do their (CIBC) job of finding which paper work was needed and this took me many back and forth conversations with CIBC and Sunlife to clarify. When it was of benefit to the bank to speak to me about purchasing some mutual funds and moving my money to different RRSP allocations the service provider was available and responsive. I was told that the transfer fees of my money would be covered and asked to submit paperwork for this. It has been 6 weeks since submitting paper work, one phone vm, and 4 emails, with absolutely no response from the person who is supposed to be providing myself service. This whole experience has been frustrating and I am considering leaving the bank at this point. All and all it has taking almost 5 months to move these funds and get reimbursed the transfer fees ( which has not happened yet)and I had to do most of the work here in finding the right paper work in the first place. This is terrible service. I will be making a complaint.
