Crazily rackless owner/staff tried to show me how to put a long fishing rod into my car, opened my passenger door wide and hit next car’s side mirror, now leaving a scratch on my door and the other car’s mirror. Ridiculous experience and worst shop ever!!!

Had a great experience here. First time just bought some line, second time bought a rod and some tackle. Both times staff have been very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient as I take a while to make up my mind. Prices are very good. Very high quality products cheaper/on par with sail or bass pro, and the knowledge I gained from speaking with the staff is invaluable. Definitely will be back!

The other day was my first visit to the store to buy a Curado DC which was nowhere to be found anywhere else at the moment. I was pleased with the customer service, the owner (male with glasses) was very friendly and allowed me to swap the reel for another new one 3 hours later when I was not happy with the first one.The inventory in the store seems to be very good, a lot of high end rods and reels that are typically very hard to find at bigger retail stores like sail or bass pro. He has a wide selection of rods and most name brands. It doesn't seem like there's too many sales going on, but I'm sure he would accommodate to a price adjustment if a big name store lowered their prices.The Curado DC I purchased was 359.99 which is the exact same price sold on Cabela's. Brand new, in the box, so I don't see where any of these rods are overpriced" as said by other reviewers. Like I mentioned

I will not recommend this place where staff can cheat and mislead you, especially for seeking your fishing rods and reels and anything that is expensive. The shopping experience is fairly unpleasant for some reasons.1. They did not fulfill their duty to inform the return policy to customers. I wanted to return my rod which did not meet my needs and buy something else. They told me no way and pointed out a yellow sticker on the counter listing their no-refund policy. Notice that this sticker was covered by a long printed receipt on my day of purchase and I did not see it. I can say this is deceitful! They told me to exchange for something of the same value and I felt uncomfortable for not being informed of the policy in advance of payment and I had to take a baitcasting reel which might be more value-preserved but was not my need. Be aware that you can only make changes within 10 days after purchasing quote-unquote. I have no idea what can happen after that if you just find something wrong with it.2.Crowded and Noisy Shopping Environment. A good edge of this shop is that they have a high volume of inventory where you can find some exotic brands but here comes another issue. The displays are closely placed and make it hard to go through and see. The first time I visited this shop there were around 8 customers (Friends of the clerk or some frequently-visiting guys?) inside and that made it hard to browse and did not follow the Pandemic protocols that you should control the customer density.3. Although a high volume inventory can offer you vast choices, most of them are overpriced. If you want to have something from famous and luxury foreign brands as well as reliable after-purchase service, go and preorder one at larger dealers like SAIL or BassPro where discounts and price transparency are usually available and they can back up your info and receipt even if you lose your paper copy incidentally. This is very important for expensive and delicate items.4.Clerks did not put masks on, this may not be an issue recently and as I said when there are a lot of people swarming inside you should be aware of what you should do and be responsible for their well-being. They talked too loudly and kinda annoyed me when I tried to focus on shopping.Just a last reminder for all who want to visit this fishing tackle shop. If you just need to buy some baits, fishing line or small kits, you can go here if proximity counts. Do not buy anything priced exorbitantly high in here or any other private-own store. Only do so when you are thirsty for some legendary tackles and feel good taking the risks of the after-purchase issues that I mentioned above.
