Lipton Trading Post
The whole town of Lipton is the most unfriendly town in Saskatchewan. The people don't even have to know you to talk about you especially at the Co Op. Unless you're related to someone in town you'll always be an outsider and outsiders aren't welcome. I've seen several outsiders move in only to move out shortly after. There are different rules for the 'founder' families than there are for outsiders moving in trying to have a quiet life here. If they don't know you they make up stuff about you. No matter how nice you be even while keeping to your own business, they still dump on you. There are no activities here and no restaurants . There used to be a nice Chinese restaurant on main Street, it didn't last long and they had good food. All in all if you must travel through on highway 22, you're better off stopping in The Fort first or stop at Cupar or Southey where you will receive a much warmer welcome.
