We built a custom home with Mallin contracting. For the majority of the project we had a great experience, with work occurring as scheduled and done well. However with the project about 80% completed, Kevin disappeared. We could not get a hold of him via email or phone. We were left scrambling to finish the build on our own. I would not recommend him to anyone.

We used Mallin Contracting to renovate our new house pretty much in its entirety. They provided excellent communication throughout the process and we were able to stay within our quoted budget and we couldn't be happier with the results. Kevin and his team are a breath of fresh air in an age where finding an honest contractor can be difficult. Below are some before and after pictures of the job that they did for us. We will need to get our entire basement finished in the future and will definitely be calling Mallin for this project.

We have worked with the Mallin Contracting team on a few home renovation projects now (deck, bedroom and bathroom install). Every team member was courteous, prompt and professional. The communication between us and the team was excellent, and we had all our questions answered thoroughly by Kevin and his crew. We cannot say enough about the quality of the work that was done. It’s not only aesthetically pleasing, but extremely functional. Everything was finished off with meticulous detail. We will absolutely use Mallin Contracting again in the future and would highly recommend them.

We were about 5 months away from having our first child when we approached Kevin & Shane to completely reno our kitchen and bathroom. They stepped up big time: design, sourcing, budget, execution, professionalism. All 10/10. Not only do we love our new renos, they left us with plenty of time before the baby arrived. Kevin treats his colleagues very well and you can tell they enjoy working with Mallin Contracting. Absolute pleasure to have them in your home.

Kevin, Shane and everyone at Mallin Contracting were great. They did a basement reno for us and everything was on time, on budget and most importantly the quality of work, attention to detail, and finishing work was amazing. We worked recently with Mallin Contracting on a few different projects. We hired them first for finishing our basement. We were very pleased with the quality of the finished product and the timeliness manor in which the project was completed. We then re-hired them again to build a 500 sq ft deck on our house. We loved the attention to detail and suggestions that were made by the team in order to achieve the look we wanted without going over budget. Our 3rd large project that we hired Mallin Contracting for was to build our cabin. We appreciate the project manager - Kevin Mallin's transparency in communication, ensuring that we were updated weekly just to keep us in the loop. Kevin is a pleasure to work with. He is friendly, approachable, knowledgable in what he does and a very hard worker. His history and experience makes him and his team a jack-of-all-trades. I believe there is no project too large for this crew, and the end result is always magazine cover worthy.

I cannot say enough good things about Kevin and his crew. He has done extensive work for me as well as my family and has never left us with anything short of high-quality work. He manages his crew with professionalism and is always willing to talk to you about your project while offering insight and strategies to get the most out of your work with Mallin Contracting. We recently had Mallin Contracting Inc renovate our old and tired kitchen. We had a great experience with Mallin Inc. right from the start. The head contractor Kevin used a unique quoting system that I have never seen before. Instead of giving us a price and then adjusting for surprises, we used a budget that had built in room for those unforeseen extras. It made us feel part of the project and we knew exactly what we were paying for with our money. At the end of the job we paid what we expected to pay. The job was well done and our kitchen is beautiful. The other employees at Mallin Contracting worked hard and we felt more than comfortable having them in our home, even when we weren’t there. If questions or issues did come up, Kevin was always available to talk about and deal with them promptly. Job well done. I would highly recommend this company for any contracting needs and will use them in the future should the need arise.

Mallin Contracting has completed multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty and budget for our family. Attention to detail from a construction and management standpoint is second to none. More than a contractor, Kevin works with us on every detail of the project to ensure the finished product meets and exceeds all expectations.
