I bought an LG French door (doorIn door) fridge in early 2014. My compressor has just stopped working. I called LG, and the compressor has a 10 year warranty. They confirmed that the unit was manufactured just under 10 years ago. But they won’t cover the replacement without a receipt. Also, they only have one authorized technician in my area who is too busy to call me back. Really disappointed in the lack of integrity with LG. They have had class action lawsuits against them for putting out faulty compressors. Yet they act like it’s not their issue.I won’t be replacing this fridge with LG again. Once they have your money, that’s all they care about.They are a company who is interested in filling landfills rather than producing quality units.

My refrigerator, that is still under warranty, stopped cooling last week. We called and were referred to multiple lines for repairs and no one had been able to send a technician to come fix it. We were in the same situation a couple years ago when our last refrigerator stopped cooling. We have other LG appliances that are now starting to show the same poor quality. Our experience with the company has shown that they make sub-standard products that fail to meet customer needs. All I can say… NOT impressed.

Purchased an LG monitor 4 months ago from Staples and there is a red vertical line in the center of the monitor. Contacted LG and I am supposed to drive to London for repair assessment. (1hour 4min one way) So in other words it is more economical for me to purchase a new monitor (not LG) than to get the unit though there is a 1 year warranty from the factory (it is only 4 months old)Not happy with there monitors at all and wont even give them a 1/2 star because of this. I cant even post this unless I highlight 1 star!!!!!!!!!

I had ordered 5 LG appliances through Home Depot on March 18th to be delivered for April 28th. I made sure all 5 appliances were put aside for me. On 27th of April I had made a call to appliance support at Home depot just to double check if they had gotten a time window for delivery for next day. At which point they mentioned that all of my appliances have not shipped to carrier. Upon further investigation, I found out that LG has completely 'forgotten' to ship all of my appliances. As I was moving to a preconstructed home with no appliances, I had to endure unexpected financial burden that both LG and Home Depot are not willing to cover. They are hiding their negligence and unprofessionalism with the few $100 dollar in store gift certificates! Please do understand I used to love LG as a brand. but not anymore. Will never do business for appliance with home depot or LG again.

Does anyone at LG read these terrible reviews? Buyers Beware! I purchased a LG Refrigerator model #LFXC24726S,as well as, an Electric Range, Microwave Oven, Washer and Dryer.These appliances were delivered in December of 2015. We moved in in January 2016.The Refrigerator broke down, as it was no longer cooling, therefore the Compressor was replaced Feb. 15, 2019 - only 3 years later. Then 2 years and 9 months later, the Refrigerator broke down again, no longer cooling, and a 3rd compressor was installed on November 23, 2022. It was still not working so on November 25, 2022 the control panel was also replaced. Guess what? Two days later and It’s still not working, no cooling and the ice dispenser is not working. That is a total of 3 Compressors and 2 control panels in less than 7 years and it’s not working!!!! The Supervisor “June” who was assigned to my case was of no help at all and only offered me another service call or a pro rated amount of 20% on this defective product. I told her that I wanted a new Refrigerator as the one I have is a Lemon. I asked her if she thought that this was a good product as it’s still not working and like a Robot she said yes. How low are her standards? Is this what LG considers good CUSTOMER SERVICE and a good product? I will never buy an LG product again!!!! I will also post my experience on every review website available.The Service Repair person and an LG parts store both told me that there are so many problems with the LG Refrigerator Compressor. It seems to be well known within the Industry.BUYERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY THE LG REFRIGERATORS!!!!!!!!

Hi bought an LG Washer and Dryer in 2018 and had purchased extended warranty. The dryer door began peeling and cracking near the handle. I called the warranty people and they said they did not cover this as it was cosmetic and to contact LG. I called and spoke to Angel. She said that this was not covered and I was upset as these were expensive and how would this happen they should stand by their product. She was very nice and was patient on phone while I found model number. She escalated it and said a Manager would be contacting me within 24 hours. Based on previous reviews I did not think I would get a call. I was so surprised to get a call from June Pohl. She was wonderful. She had it approved for LG to pay for it. There was a bit of confusion with the repair technician but she made sure to follow up called me a few times to make sure all was done. The door has been replaced and I am so pleased with the great customer service I recieved form Angel and June. Thank you so much.

They say they give warranty on pieces. In their website its written how long is the warranty for each part.The thing is, it will break, stop working for sure any time soon. Once it happens, we can't call the company we trust to fix it, we have to go through a company they provide. There's only ONE company to provide reparation in montreal (which gives us zero option to choose). they charge the visit to came and make the diagnosis. A lot of bureaucracy later (2 weeks without our fridge) we got our fridge repair. They try to force us to buy an extended warranty program. Then we discovered that 80% or more LGs fridge have compressor problem. So, what we could learn, the sell products with pieces made not to last long, to force people to buy extended warranty and monetize even more, over it.By the way, their costumer service is as lame as their products.I STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND ANY LG PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU WANT BE FRUSTATED AND HAVE A HUGE HEADACHE

LG dishwasher motor failed just after warranty expiration ( the squealing noise is unbearable). I can't believe I need to look into replacing dishwasher only 1 year after owning. We even spent more hoping that would mean the product wouldn't fail so quickly. Spare yourself and do not buy an LG product. Support group not helpful at all.

I have an LG Nano 80 TV. It os just over 2 years old and has a line running up the screen from the power button on the bottom along with 5 white lights at the bottom of the screen. I have a 15 year old sharp aquos and there is nothing wrong with it. I bought the new TV because it is 4k. Ever since an update it won't let me use features that were there before. Like running my xbox at 120hz. 1440p. It worked for months then updated and no longer let me run it. This is my first and last LG product

Just recently had to buy another new fridge from HD. First new LG fridge was about 3 years old and the compressor died. Warranty only covered compressor replacement with huge labour cost, so more economical to buy a new one. Next new LG fridge (different model) just died last week (two years later). Same situation as the previous - compressor died, manufacturers warranty covered to replace the part, but diagnostic fee plus $600 labour fee. So off to curbside for fix-it pickers. So this time (third time's a charm, right?) NO MORE LG. A different major brand company will be reaping the benefit of poor industry standards. Now I must live out of coolers to store perishables until third new fridge arrives in 2 weeks. Bottom line: LG fridges may be well priced, and attractively designed. HOWEVER, buyer beware. Do not be swayed by these deceptions, or the raving 5 star reviews by the new LG fridge honeymooners. Gone are days where fridges run for 10 years or longer. Max 4-five years. Who can afford to buy a new fridge every 4 or 5 years? So start sending letters to Appliance Co. Executives and Consumer Affairs. Because as they say, Silence is consent. And we don't want Silence or else nothing will improve and the companies will keep reaping the profits of bad quality products. And BTW I've had very similar experience in recent years with Clothes Washing Machines and dishwashers.
