Rad Occasions

We contracted Radhika to support us with event coordination for our annual convention. She truly helped make the event a success, ensuring that the details were taken care of so that I, as the only staff at the association, could focus on the convention itself. From hospitality, to A/V, to making sure I remembered to eat, she truly was a pleasure to work with. Her calm, professional nature was the perfect fit for the event, and I look forward to working with her again next year!

Rad is helping us plan our 2022 wedding, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on our event planning team.When we started our search for a wedding coordinator, we spoke with a number of different vendors, but Rad immediately stood out because she proactively shared tips and tricks for wedding planning, tailored to our unique situation, even before we hired her. We are based out of town, so we knew we wanted to work with an expert who knows the ins and outs of the greater Victoria area, and based on the positive comments our other wedding vendors have made of Rad combined with our own experience with her to date, I know we’ll be in good hands.Just recently, we had to postpone our wedding from Spring 2021 to 2022, and Rad has been very prompt in checking in with us, communicating her policy and next steps, and accommodating our situation. It’s not easy rescheduling your special day, but having a coordinator like Rad can turn a difficult situation into a less stressful one. We’d recommend her to any couple.

I am leaving a review for Rad Occasions, specifically for Radhika and her team, who have assisted me and my partner throughout our wedding planning and wedding day. When we first met Rad, we knew she was the right planner for us as she was very open to suggestions, listened to what we wanted and has extensive knowledge of outdoor and backyard weddings. Rad provided us with resources for planning and made sure to periodically check in with us to help keep us on track. We could not be happier with the high level of service that Rad and her team provided us on the day of our wedding. Rad was very responsive yet cool, calm and collected. It was evident when we found out within a week of our wedding day that there was a bike race across Victoria and the whole timeline needed to be adjusted. On the day of, everything went smoothly and to plan all thanks to Radhika's planning and preparedness based on a change of events. I would highly recommend Rad and her team of experts to help support you towards and during your wedding date. You will feel supported and comfortable knowing a dedicated team of planners are making sure that your dream day is amazing.

Of all the various wedding vendors we considered when planning our wedding, bringing on Rad is the one that we were most grateful for choosing. She is unbelievably good at what she does! Our stress was greatly reduced knowing she was keeping track of every last detail and she guided us when we weren't sure what to do. We would not have even known where to start without her. We ended up with a magnificent wedding our friends and family were blown away by - very much thanks to Rad!

Asking Rad to be part of our team was one of the best decisions my husband and I made while planning our wedding. As a first time bride, there were many aspects of wedding planning I found overwhelming and I knew I would need help. My husband and I wanted to avoid tasking our friends and family with decorating or being a point of contact for vendors, and we knew we would need to hire someone.The minute we met Rad we instantly felt more at ease, and bringing the details of the wedding together seemed possible, if not pretty easy! She made us feel valuable, well looked after, and she worked hard to understand what we had in mind for our wedding day. Rad worked with us to sort out some final details in the month before the wedding and was helpful to remind us of outstanding tasks. She worked wonders coordinating all the vendors and creating a timeline for the day so each vendor knew when they were supposed to arrive. She did the set-up and take-down of decor, and that task alone was worth her fee. She was truly helpful at our rehearsal, to ensure that the entire bridal party and commissioner were all on the same page and knew what to expect.Rad made it possible for my husband and I and our friends and family to truly enjoy the day without having to worry about any details or tasks. Her help was invaluable, and I truly believe our wedding wouldn't have been anywhere near as easy and seamless if we had not had her help. I would recommend Rad, and Rad Occasions to absolutely everyone. She is wonderful!

We are so happy to have been able to secure Rad Occasions for our wedding. We were lucky to get to work with both Rad and Nikkita, both of whom were amazing listeners, contributed their expertise to help ease our stress, were super thorough and organized in their work, and helped elevate our day beyond what we could have imagined. Most importantly, their exceptional work and support truly allowed us to not have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding (and the day after!). We cannot recommend them enough!!

There are 2 pieces of advice we could give when planning a wedding (1) get a wedding coordinator, most of us don’t plan events for a living, save yourself the stress and get someone who will help you (2) if you’re getting married in Victoria and the surrounding area, hire Rad and her team. Rad was our month of coordinator and made sure we were prepared for the day by putting together timelines & questionnaires (with information we didn’t even think of while planning ourselves). On the actual wedding day we felt as relaxed as we could be knowing that all the logistics of the wedding were being taken care of by Rad and her team. They’re the best investment you can make for your wedding day to make sure it runs smoothly and ours turned out better than we could have imagined and we credit that to Rad. Also Rad is just incredibly sweet and we loved working with her.

I wish I could leave Rad a 100 star review. From the beginning of our planning process, Rad made us feel heard, seen, included, and understood. As a queer couple in a VERY heteronormative wedding culture world, Rad always showed up for us and made us feel like we had a right to be where we were, and that we belonged. She never once made us feel pressured into making traditional choices and championed us as we planned a more unique wedding. She answered emails promptly and kindly, she was on top of literally everything. I highly HIGHLY recommend Rad Occasions, especially for any queer couples! Thank you Rad!

From the moment my partner and I met Rad, we knew we were in good hands. As an LGBTQ+ couple, the wedding industry can often feel cookie-cutter, heteronormative and isolating. But from the beginning Rad fostered an environment of inclusivity and creativity. There was no pressure to conform to any traditional wedding structure or customs, she was totally on board with and excited by our vision. And how effortlessly she executed it all!
