Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron
I really love this organization. They teach all sorts of boating skills to keep people safe on the water. You can learn the basics of boating, get your boaters license, or learn how to use GPS or radar. They even have advanced courses that teach how to navigate using a sextant! And all across Canada they have activities for members, parties, days on the water together. This is a really professional group of people who care about keeping people safe on the water whether you have a canoe, sailboat or big yacht.

Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron
Just finished taking my ROC-M radio certification and I was very impressed with the course and the testing process. I highly recommend VPSS for anything related to boating, safety or education.
