Wood Shop Vancouver

It is just so darn empowering to look around your living room and say, I made that beautiful piece of furniture! And, knowing that the materials came from what would have been discarded wood, is extra fulfilling too. I get so many compliments on the chevon-style dining table. I live in a small apartment so it's my desk, craft and dining table in one, and after 4 years it still looks impeccable. Will be holding on to this sturdy table for life!

I custom made two shelves from the Wood Shop. One for Kitchen and another for work station. Chris was wonderful to work with. He is professional, friendly, punctual and efficient. He gave me exactly what I want and need. Price is transparent and reasonable. Yes, I highly recommend Wood Shop.

We had a Mary bed and custom designed desser made about a year ago. Chris was wonderful to work with. The whole process from design to build to delivery was seamless and we are still loving our pieces. We highly recommend the wood shop!

I love the idea of the company. The idea of workers running and can be proud of their work, and using recycled materials for the environment.Unfortunately maybe it doesn't really always work out so ideally. Because I cannot see how one can be satisfied if this was their own work.I had my kitchen counter done by Wood Shop a year ago. Let alone the slow communication, which is quite common among all trades, the quality is... you can see for yourself in the pictures.The counter top was so bad I had to ask them to redo it. ( it was uneven , bumpy with lots of holes which is very bad for food prep / clesning)They replaced it after a long while, but the varnish was still peeling and it didn't even fit. Both sides have a obvious gap.And that was the end of the project. (As shown in pictures)After a year of looking at this, finally I have to make up my mind and pay for another company to help me demolish this whole thing and I'm going to just get an ikea kitchen, unfortunately.We just cannot afford to spend a lot more after spending thousands of dollars on this project but having to pay and demolish and redo it again.And I loved the idea of reclaimed wood too, but I'm really sad now I have to just end up with more waste because this whole counter is going to go to waste now.

We ordered a custom bed frame and two custom night stands. The prices were reasonable and they look great. They were great to work with and always use reclaimed wood. We would definitely recommend their work.

The Wood Shop is amazing! They made a bed frame, accompanying bedside tables and beautiful big barn doors for our closet. The work is magnificent, it’s delightful dealing with the coop workers, and the level of input we had was phenomenal. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them!

I ordered some large custom wooden serving boards for my work and they turned out beautifully! The quality is amazing and customer service is excellent. Jessica and the Wood Shop team really looked after us and I am trying to use them for additional restaurant furniture that my work needs. It is great to support an amazing local company with gorgeous hand-made products!!

We used the Wood Shop to order custom furniture for our recent apartment renovation downtown. I loved the idea of using reclaimed wood in our space and all items ordered were just stunning. We had a hallway bench, king sized bed, numerous floating shelves, desk and double vanity made - all custom exactly to our designs and liking. We love the natural variation of the wood and seeing the previous lives lived in it, while it still looking high quality and beautiful. I can't imagine buying wood furniture from a box store ever again. They are my go-to now and well worth the price - great value, great services, great quality. I've already recommended them to many friends - very happy we found out about them!

We had a custom round oak table built to fit our small dining area. The team at the Wood Shop guided us through the process and it turned out beautifully. Happy to support a local company doing quality work.

We got a bed frame, and a clothing rack made here, and they were fantastic quality at an excellent price. We had great service, and they even cut us a little shelf and installed it in our coat area.They delivered the furniture and it was all made with real wood, not that particle board junk. We've been using it for almost a year now and it's still just as solid as they day we got it. I would definitely recommend, and we will definitely be getting more furniture there soon!
