Earth and Hide

I am a sales rep who travels for work, and over the years I've accumulated my fair share of mismatched luggage. I've logged hundreds of thousands of kilometers both domestically and internationally, and the older I get, the lighter I like to travel.I just passed a milestone birthday, and family members wanted to get together to order something special. Friends of mine had recently participated in a work party at Earth and Hide's Niverville workshop, and told me to check them out online. Sure enough, I fell in love, and suggested an E+H carry-on travel set to my family members.I am now the proud owner of the Jackson backpack, the Sidney duffle and the Field Notes/Passport wallet in Merlot. The leather quality is top-notch, and the Merlot colour is unbelievably gorgeous in person. The high end brass hardware richly finishes each piece, and adds some serious bling into the mix.When I'm on the road, I need to take a fairly complete office set up with me. The capacity of both the backpack and the duffle is incredibly impressive. In the pictures, you'll see that a laptop, second monitor, wireless mouse, four catalogs and a notebook all fit cozily inside the backpack with room to spare. Inside the duffle, I was able to pack three complete outfits (tops + bottoms), two scarves, an extra pair of dress shoes, pajamas, slippers, a toiletries bag, a large paddle brush, a curling iron and my Kindle. And I bet I could get another outfit in there if I tried!Also, an honourable mention goes to the Passport wallet. Seriously, how great is this little piece? It easily fits my passport, cash, cards and licence in one sleek package. I love how unobtrusive, practical and attractive this guy is, and it will be a staple for me when international travel becomes a little more normal again.With these three handmade works of art, Earth + Hide has made it possible for me to have everything I need for travel in a fashionable, functional, wearable set-up. Even fully loaded, wearing the duffle cross-body with the backpack on top is comfortable and ergonomically balanced; it feels a little stealthy to have something that's so good looking yet so efficient all at the same time! Picked up the last pair of black leather mitts from Chuck at his show in Toronto at One of a kind market. His stuff is high quality and it comes through in the feel smell and function of his product. On top of that he’s also just a very rad human. If you want pieces that will be there for you for the long haul - this is your shop!!

We participated in the belt making workshop this week and we had a great time! It was so much fun and Chuck was awesome! We went home with beautiful high quality belts. Would definitely recommend!

I have been secretly desiring a bag from Earth+Hide for years. A friend did a workshop and couldn’t say enough good things about it so I decided to pull the trigger. I did the Luella tote workshop and it was a blast, it was 6 hours but the time just flew by. Chuck was so helpful, kind, fun, and just made the workshop so enjoyable. A workshop with Earth+Hide would be a great gift, date idea, friends event, or solo event!

I recently purchased an Earth and Hide backpack, and I'm already amazed by the quality craftsmanship. Everything from the material to the attention to detail of the stitching is truly astonishing. This bag was definitely worth every penny and I can tell that it will last me for years to come. It's a rare gem to find quality of this level nowadays. Over the moon about both of my bags! I got the Luella tote, and the Sarah Belle mini backpack.Had a little snag with my tote, and Chuck fixed it with no questions asked. Very thankful to have stumbled across Earth and Hide, definitely have and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

I bought a pair of mitts at the one of a kind craft show in Toronto, best mitts I’ve ever owned. I work outside a lot in the winter and these mitts are fantastic!!! I bought another pair the other day just because I can’t believe how warm and well made these mitts are. My fingers thank you !!
