Yumiko Sushi & Poke

We went for all you can eat and we’re the only people there for the first couple of minutes and we were a little worried. But then the food started coming and it was all amazing. The staff was very helpful and the fish was great. The food was also at a great temperature, hot enough that you could eat it slowly and it would still be hot by the time you were done. Definitely recommend.

A hidden gem. I don't leave many reviews but I feel compelled. YUMIKO is so fresh and a nice family run business. Enjoy the best sushi in Vaughan.

Definitely a less known location, newly opened. Decided to try it since I was craving poke bowls. The restaurant does a la cart and AYCE, but haven’t tried the AYCE portion yet.The first time I got the chicken teriyaki bento box - it was pretty average compared to other Japanese restaurants. The poke bowl is probably the best bang for its buck in my opinion. You can either have a set bowl or you can build your own (which is usually the same price as the set bowls). The portions are great and has a lot of customizable options. The server (who I can probably presume was the owner) was super sweet and took care of us the whole time we were there, and she even remembered us the second time we came by. Definitely try this if you’re in the area

Absolutely loved this new ayce sushi place that opened up in Vaughan!! They also do à la carte but we were starving and went for the ayce option. Didn’t take many photos because we were too busy stuffing our faces haha but everything was really well done for an ayce sushi resto.The highlight is their torched sushi. Literally some of the best torched sushi I’ve had - melt in your mouth fish with a creamy savoury sauce on top and that charred flavour we love in torched sushi! The only thing is that the ratio of rice to fish was a little too big, felt like half the amount of rice would have been better.The rolls were standard, good quality rolls with fresh fish and great flavour! The karaage was also really good - crispy and juicy with a yummy sauce. The satay skewers were also really delicious and packed with flavour although the meat was a tad overcooked.Usually I don’t include service in my reviews and ratings but this place gets a shout out because they really worked hard to get our gigantic food orders to us within the hour before they closed!Overall, highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good ayce sushi in the Vaughan area!

Food was amazing, I am not a big sushi fan, but my God it was so good, especially the dynamite roll. I tried Eel for the first time, so good! For all you can eat is was affordable and you get your money's worth. I was so full, I can't event eat today. Service was great too, space was a little small, but hey it was good.

Incredible food, friendly service, and great value makes Yumiko a must try in York.———We ordered dine-in from the à la carte menu the first night and came back for takeout again the next.The miso soup, seafood miso soup, hot and sour soup are all great; hot, fresh, and tasty. The seafood miso comes with shrimps and a mussel which was fantastic value for the money.We really enjoyed the salmon sushi combo, the volcano rolls, and the Alaska roll. The volcano rolls were very different from anything else we’ve tried; super rich and delicious.The next night we had all the same stuff but also tried the unagi poke bowl which was fabulously well done, it was also quite hefty so a good value for what you pay.Overall we highly recommend you try Yumiko; we’re from Calgary and tried a few sushi places in Toronto as well, but this is the best sushi and poke we have ever had.

Had a tempura shrimp poke bowl. Was delicious, and affordable. Service was great and friendly. Would definitely go back here.

Went here for the first time and it was amazing! Price for the all you can eat was really reasonable if you're going to eat a bunch. Went with my dad and we're both really picking when it comes to Asian cuisine. Hand rolls were made fresh, soups were very hot but that made them even better. Wide assortment of rolls and the menu. Includes their Ramen and upon, and is excellent on portion sizes. Waitress was very nice and made sure our table was clear and we never ran out of water. Best buffet I've gone to in a long time would recommend. Will definitely go again!

Newly opened restaurant. Right now they have a 20% off promo if you pay cash or debit. I don't think they accept credit cards. I made my own poke bowl- fried yam tempura. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. Definitely going back again. Staff was very friendly and helpful and offered me a glass of water for my wait. Very nice. Wonderful customer service

The staff was very kind and the place was clean. We were seated right by the speakers so that was annoying as we couldn’t even hear each other. Menu is all online and they have no paper menus so you’re gonna be unable to order if you don’t have a smart phone.The food itself was a 8/10 in taste compared to other sushi places with the same or slightly lower price range and the soup has a burnt taste. The staff does mind it if you don’t finish the food completely. We tried a couple new items that didn’t taste good and a little was left on the plate (we ordered the smallest portion available and still shared it so what was left was literally one or two bites) and they asked us if we could finish it before ordering another roll of sushi. That has never happened at buffets or all you can eat. I completely disagree with food wastage and people ordering more than they can eat but a little is typically left even at non buffet restaurants. In case you are wondering, we finished the food even thou we didn’t want to just to not be rude but will not go back.
